Trying to come up with a good above ground whelping box, trynna see should on the inside of the house part should I have it like the outside floor with the spaces or solid plywood always been around solid ones but seen a video on YouTube that with enough bedding air can’t get in and it’ll be easier to clean, also should I find a way to insulate it and any way to put heat lamp without a way to plug up not going to be close to the house and don’t want to run extension cord also any other advice more than welcome good or bad.

Spaced wood you don't want piss, shit and water sitting on top of plywood. Winter for me like 50 degrees so can't give much help on insulation.

Doubled walled houses with insulation in between for temps below 40.

Personally it's a huge risk trying to whelp these pups outside in real cold climates. I whelp mine inside, always have. It gets pretty frigid here.

If it's 50 or above then that is a different story but you start talking about 32 or below then your talking a real challenge to keep them pups warm. It's a challenge to keep adults warm. Pups are 100x more susceptible to the cold. They require warmth to thrive.

If doing it outside in winter type climate you need insulation and a heat source of some kind like a heat lamp or pad etc.

    Best of luck.
