I'm not sure if what test would suit you, but that can be said to just about anything or anybody, and ring in a different tone.
I'm sure the purpose they have for dogs over there is less like it was in days of the past, but like here it can compare in ways.
If got nothing but time space and patience..I'm not sure that pays much..lol
Past is important. That is a fact. Future we can change. Not past. You nailed it there.
I do as you say...and Tom..Dick..and Harry..and what they do..
Well. ..we can all admire certain things in life...and another may not even see the same things as we. At days if trial...there is not much that can be said to help a dog...if it has no experience to complete a task set in front of it...now it then..
Can't make a dog pull weight if it does not want to at that time.

    Good points.

It would take a fantastic animal even in those days to kill boars ,to do it regularly would be a feat that only afew could muster, damage builds with every encounter and fast. Most owners wouldn't allow this to happen anyway, killing the quarry wasnt the objective. Even if it was most owners would lift early. Todays average staffords.... NO HOPE. 99.9 percent of todays owners are dreamers and bullshitters also, so just compounds the shite bred dogs.

Lol. BRock has daggers for claws and the mouth of a lion if he’s close to home then he’s going to test anything that doesn’t severely outweigh him.

  5. I agree with both Smuggler and Lrs.....
    Brock(especially Boars)is one tough sob.
In fact he's one of the toughest creatures out there.pretty shy until aroused.but once aroused,he's not the cuddly creature that people think of.... not many dogs of any breed can do big boars.they about two ft long and about 40lbs in weight.they rule the roost in there environment.and are really if ever seen..I seen two fighting around the end of January.and even though they were in the beam of my touch, and they new they had a ordience, they were hardly bothered...and they kept fighting for a full ten minutes with a touch on them!..I could not believe this.and can't for the life of me,work out why they never ran for it when they seen the light???....there's some debate to the time of year they breed.(and if anyone no's this please tune in!),most reports saying they breed some time between October and January..it's most definitely true that they give birth sometime between the first four months of the year..so Maybe they bread a little bit later this year??.and that's why I seen what I seen???....anyway they were most definitely two Boars.and one was a lot bigger then they other one.the bigger one shook the smaller one for a full ten minutes the way a Bulldog would shake another Bulldog!!!..maybe not as intense.but it was still impressive all the same..the noises of the smaller one.wow.was fucking vile..I really did not think they were that loud..after about ten minutes the smaller one got away with the bigger one in hot pursuit.(not that brocks are fast like, and it was hardly a great chase)but they both ran straight to a huge active set.and I could hear them for about another twenty minutes!.....then when the noises stopped I stood there for about a full hour with out hearing a peep.weird..but very intresting(for me anyways)to see.and extremely rear to see to.........ha,ha,I bet all you brock hunters are thinking "imagine slipping a dog on two of them!" ......I never had a dog lol.and I don't hunt brocks!.it's uneatable.(well sort of lol.)...but there's well better stuff to eat lol.I don't fancy tasting fox, cat,or Brock..not that I'm a snob, but I could imagine the taste of any of the above to taste really strong.ha,ha,lol.anyone ever tried it???...........jokes aside I could not help but think of seeing the to boars fight that any dog would have a hard time finishing one completely.the dog would be chewed up.but I think a big Bulldog(50lbs+)would be most suited for the task..........

Never eat anything that eats other living things lol a piece of advice from my old man. In modern times there’s so much sprayed poison about plus they scavenge rotten road kill.

  14. LOL.I bet mate.....if it tasted like Pork it must be worth the skinning surely???...and I could imagine a Tamworth to be pretty tough to skin to...

Ha,ha,ha,....imagine what the wife would say if she walked in on ya and you were skinning or boiling the beast...ha,ha,lol.I think a divorce would be on the cards..tho I did consider the idea once when I fond one what had been ran over...I was skint.but I was more thinking of the joke on the wife.lol....

Yeah but I don't want a divorce.....lol.I think that would push her over the edge

  15. LOL..you should of put first... "Before you ask"

  16. I'm curios now LOL

  17. Is it strong the taste though Stedz???...how would you cook it??lol.....I read some thing that this doctor(it staded he was a doctor, coz if he was poor he would of got blamed for killing the beast)found a road victim and said it was nice in a curry!..said he always dose it!......
    Sounds good!

Some of the old boys in my area, ate them during the miners strike, often wondered why they never became a staple if they taste like pork especally considering they were digging lads, and could get thier hands on them easily.

  19. Maybe they were a staple in days gone buy??...and with them being protected.(ruthlessly protected)well you'd rather risk your freedom for a nice joint of Deer ..........
I have read before it tastes like Pork tho.....ha,ha, "what's for tea tonight love?" ..... "Pulled Whisel, with some wild garlic I picked!" ........

Yeah I've just mentiond it to the wife...
