I am currently writing more letters to councileman about the proposed bsl here.I am trying to adress every specific "guidline" they are trying to impose.I am having one problem with one area that says Any person who owns more than two pit bull or pit bull type dogs would be required to "Give their dog/s up for adoption"I want to suggest a grandfather clause for those who allready own more than two,but im wrestling with whether or not I should write about the potential negetive effects of people who mean well but have no real knowledge of the extra care and commitment it takes to properly care for these dogs, adopting them. Now,we all know that not just anyone can care for these dogs ,but there are many people who do believe "Its how you raise them" or that they can love or socialize the DA out of these dogs.I know that putting these dogs in the hands of people like that will undoubtably make things worse, but I am also worried that stating the facts about what could happen will make it seem as though I'm saying these dogs cannot be trusted or are immpossible to control.I mean how do you say "I think its okay for me to own these dogs but not that guy"?
