The Gould line has proven to be solid dogs for us. Most of our Patts are of that lineage.

the people who work their terriers breed them to.go to working homes. the non working will not allow their dogs to go anywhere else but pet homes. thers a strong divide. patterdale farmers dont care were they go. well known bloodlines ate going to pet homes as a monetary gain as is the colour. any 1 who wants to own a patt . its essential thy look up on the breed. there origin n purpose.. and how these dogs are. loyal faithful fiery little warriers. strong willed and of great strong character. sometimes not for the faint hearted. good luck

They are a working dog just like the APBT and you owe it to them to give them the work. I've seen some very good dogs in my time and I'm willing to call them Gamedogs. Going against foes bigger and more dangerous than themselves, suffering horrific damage and even taking their death's on occasion.

The Pit Dogs of the UK added to the Patterdale all those years back must have been some dogs indeed......

Patterdales that are too hard don't usually have a long career in the digging world. My friends Nuttall/Wheeler is ready to drop in a few weeks. Very handy dogs in the right hands....

That's a bit of a bold statement, I think you'll find Patterdales just as good in England as you will anywhere on the planet and that is a fact.....

Yes sir same dog's I only said that cuz I am orginally from Ireland and worked them growing up we consider a fell terrier smooth coat and a paterdale broken coat, every 4r5 generations we would throw in Irish staff or small ruggid weaten terrier, paterdale are not a registered breed back home with any kennel club

It's the opposite over here, the smooth coated Nuttall types are know as Patterdales and the rough haired known as Fell Terriers.....

  16. When getting Kuniva I went threw same hoops. Showed my worth and proved i wasnt looking for a purse dog and now ive gotton so much quarry i quit counting. Sometimes they just are wary of the dog becoming the jack Russel Akc version. I was same way with my litter. Only had one so far in the 13 years of owning. All are sold. Good luck to eveyone whos serious on keeping hunters hunters. Keep the outta the purse! Or we'll have our next short coat yorkie blah. P.K.

AND THAT is how you get your 15LB patt killed that's like telling your 10 year old kid to go fuk up mike Tyson. You've heard of whip lash in your neck I call this fuking body lash LOL.That dog took a beaten and just kept on ticking like the energy bunny rabbit.Yah it looks really cool and hats off to the patt but if a dog takes a beaten like that he will no longer run at 95% or 100% he'll be an OLD dog at age 5...NO BIGGY I'm just thinking common sense.A hard patt will not live long as it will get itself killed....ALSO very interesting explanation of the names FELL and PATT,,,,I like Irish explanation,,,,the smooth coat shows way more bull blood influence so it's more of a terrier mix call this one a fell where as the broken coat is more original to the pure terrier look call this one a PATT.You gottta love these little terriers you just gotta also have there back...! NOW when are we going to see some short thick bully looking pure wheeler patts here in the states???? I would image the wheeler patts have lots of staffy and maybe a little EBT blood hence the bully build.
