another big mouth never shown a dog or know what he's talking about around here. Pull your head out, its really deep if you think he wasnt a dogman. Do you people that spend your days ripping on every important person in these dogs actually know any of them or shown with them? Chan's family of Jeep dogs are known for being the gamest of the Jeep dogs and for a reason. keep flappin anyway, theirs plenty of Asians in these dogs, my family is Asian and I'm related by marriage to one of the ones being bagged on in here.

LOL, the fact is the man was sellin pups for 5k a piece, let one go to any dipshit that could afford it. if you ask me thats a peddler, he may peddle good shit, but a peddler none the rest. ive talked to folks on here who have contacted joe inquiring about dogs and every onew of them said all he was interested in was sellin pups! and as far as me never showin a dog, well thats good that you think that!

known for being the gamest of jeep dogs, well maybe the gamest of the big name peddlers out there but i highly doubt he's got the best stuff out there, you know not everybody sells pups or even advertises theyre stock! & JC's prices seem to make TG's look like the flea market!

I'm sure there's been asians with good dogs,just like most other ethnic groups.

 

since we're on the topic of Asians and dogmen, I'd have to say China and Japan probably has the best stock out there in the east since the sport is not only legal, but advertised quite well and the sport is real serious. It is also conducted really well and dogmen from China and Japan have actually paid money for the dogmen of old from America to travel over there and have provided them with shelter, food, etc. just so they can learn from them. Korea is starting to catchup as well and in about 7 or 8 more years, the philipines should be catching up, but for now they only have 2 or 3 champions, and one of them isn't a real once since he's won 2 and 2 otc. The problem with the philippines, as well as korea, is that people are breeding for papers instead of looking for dogs with abilities. Though I've heard that some of the affluent and oppulent dogmen out there are starting to request the help of old school dogmen so they should be catching up pretty quick.

 

I definitely agree with you here, Joe Chan has bred some good dogs and he knows what he's doing. He is definitely not just breeding for papers, like a lot of show breeders nowadays. Look at the machobuck stuff out there now, a lot of them can't perform and the only thing game about them is their pedigree. However, his prices are quite high though and while I doubt he'd sell to just anyone, I think his prices are quite a bit high. But then again, you get what you pay for. I have never met Joe Chan so I have nothing to say about him personally, as I don't know him. However, I have nothing but good things to say about his dogs and if you are looking for some good jeep blood, his stock is definitely worth checking out.

 

i'm asian, and most dogmen i associate with are asian...I guess it just depends who you roll with...harder now a day to be open about keeping dogs

Newschooldogman: I am surprised to hear that the filipinos are behind with respect to dogs. I grew up in a place with a rather large population of filipinos (my best friends were filipino) and knew these people to be heavy into the birds and dogs---basically anything you can gamble on. Lost my fair share of money over long nights playing papito (pusoy). I also know them to be good with their hands......they can scrap. Btw, i have eaten dog and it was good.

Filipinos definitely are into dogs! They have a fast cuircit going on there in Manila! Every 2 or 3 months they hold conventions. The one thing that they are behind on is breeding. They really just breed to what's winning and not base on a proven family of dogs! They are quickly catching on!

 

Yep, in about 7-8 years, they should be able to hold their own against Japan, china, South America, etc.

 

Filipinos are into dogs, problem is, the dogs they are producing can't compete with China, Japan, South America, etc. yet. Their breeding practices are pretty horrible since they breed for a lot of pretty papers believing that would automatically guarantee a winner. Filipinos being good with their hands as in fights or in a card game? I live by little filipino town and the fights I've been in with them, well they swing wildly and when you have one of them on the floor, the rest of them gang up on you LOL. But then again, these are FOBs that came from the philipines. The ones born here in the states probably are good with their hands.
