With Dawg Fight and Knuckle getting a lot of media these days there has been a growing interest in the mainstream for BKB. Any BKB fans or fighters on here who follow it ?

 

Some right hand in that first one.

 

Lakwewood I see your from New Jersey, my good friend and World Heavyweight bare knuckle champ Bobby Gunn is living and fighting out of Jersey.

 

I'm not into the sport but I've heard that name before. Where is he from? I'm also not thinking of Tommy Gun from the Rocky Movie.

 

He is also a pro boxer who fought James Toney just a few months back but broke his hand in the 4th or 5th and was stopped by the ref. Also he won the first sancioned bare knuckle fight since John L Sullivan and won the same bare knuckle title vacated by the man himself.

This is Bobby fighting one of rapper Jay Z's body guards in an under ground bkb match.

 

Good stuff. That seems a lot more humane then the other stuff.

 

Bobby is really trying to clean up the sport and shed the "thug" image of it, on a side note both Dada 5000 (the big guy with the beard in Dawg Fight) as well as James Quinn (the bald guy in Knuckle) have declined to fight Bobby. Well to be fair Dada just priced himself to high to make that fight happen and Quinn will talk the talk with bobby but just not willing to fight when it comes down to it, Bobby even offered to go to Ireland to make it easier for Quinn but....nothin. I myself have fought on one of Bobby's shows along with pro boxer Danny Batchelder.

 

That's cool. Can you make a living out of it? I mean I know the top guys do but what about the under card fighters? Is it like they say on the video, 3 to 4 hundred a day?

That old man can really hit as well. He doesn't look too sportsmanlike either.

 

The way it works is you put up as much as you can and the other guy has to match it, a lot of times you get backers who will pool together the amount. Not that great money but a good supplement income.

If you (meaning anyone) want to call out the champ then you put the money up that he wants and win or lose you get nothing (but the title if you win). A bit different if its two big names, then money is put up from both sides, not millions but big money just the same.

Just like on here you get talkers that claim this and that but just never seem to fight but such is life.

 

It is the same thing as with pool. You go looking for action with your backer and if you win, you win, lose your busted. Got it. I guess it is like what the old woman were saying in the first video. Better fists then guns.

 

The only thing I know about pool is how to lose and I am pretty good in that regard.

Quinn and Dada are trying to get a few fights with each other off the ground.

 

I've seen some of the traveller fights up on youtube before.I didn't realize he faught Thomas Adamek too until I did a search.

 

He has since become pretty good friends with Tomasz Adamek and trained with him somewhat for Bobbys last pro boxing match with James Toney.

 

Cool!I just saw Adamek fight a few weeks ago.I know he's very popular in New Jersey.I'll have to get a hold of the Knuckle movie too.It's looks good.I'd pay to see these fights.I used to get all the toughman fights whenthey were on ppv.Maybe these guys could get a ppv thing going?
