A mate of mine Johnny Smith married Mary Jones last week. As fate would have it an old girlfriend of hers rang me today and asked me did I know where Mary Jones was. I told her I never heard of her.

 

Fair comment but if we look at charlie loyds pilot he was behind most lines in the states, he come over from england in the 1800`s and was in them times a good pit dog and producer,so are you saying that the sbt of show dogs go back to pilot in englang?,and are the irish dogs ie the red strain and pyscho dogs the true pitbull.

 

What would know you fool... LLoyd's Pilot is not a SBT... he is a pit dog, SBT are a show dog...the name was invented by the kennel club ...

 

nope, the term sbt before or after 1930 does not change the fact of the type of dog that came to america. it was the same type of breed used in the black country (UK), then ruined and mixed by the cradley club and few other who continue this downfall legacy of the breed. and still used today in smaller numbers than their cousin apbt in europe. with this said, british would never named a breed "american" whatever terrier, so in fact the dogs created and sent/sold or given by the english are the base on many lines here in america. apbt wasnt the name of choice several decades back either.

 

and i'm gonna take this comment from a guy who puts the sbt breed down, yet hasnt done anything constructive in the apbt world either. make up your mind. the apbt side is waiting for your extended experience and knowledge about the dogs that make you so untouchable and great.

 

The Kennel Club picked the name... can you explain why they ware called that ? the fighting dogs bred and fought in London , Scotland Dublin, Liverpool, Belfast... had nothing to do with Staffordshire... most matches in the UK then and now happened in all the big citys...dog fighting and breeding happened all over the British isles not just Staffordshire ...the Kennel club picked the name...

Ricky pay attention...I never said that there were no other dogs being bred in the rest of the isles..just said that the sbt predated the KCrecognition,you have stated many times that the kc created the name and the breed.As I said before YOU ARE WRONG.it can and has been proven and you still don't want to believe it ..funny the dog who made you known to anyone was an sbt yet you slag them all the time..?

 

i am pretty sure the reason ricky b says the staffords could not compete with the apbt is because he has had numerous dogs since psycho that were far superior to him. when a stafford wins a couple it becomes a legend in a way an apbt would not, simply because they are not usually up to the job and the half decent ones stand out so much.


for me dogs like lloyds pilot were pit dogs,the same breed as the apbt as they were exported thenm the name was changed in america, a dog like pilot certainly could pass as an apbt today, he looks nothing like a modern stafford.
