Blue Game Dog ?

Would you buy a Blue Game Dog prospect or pup? I was told many years ago that taking a blue dog into the [] was like taking your sister to the prom --- you shouldn't expect anything good to happen --- and if it did you sure wouldn't want to brag about it !

Idk, I sure wouldn't go to somebody looking for a blue dog that I planned to take racing. Now if by some miraculous occurrence I ended up with a blue pup off dogs I bred I'd keep the sob and see what it turned out to be..... But I ain't holding my breath!!!

Story I read on another forum

In their quest for perfection, they made a request to use Trussell*s Dum Dum dog to see if Alligator was truly game. Dummy you see was a game dog that was even bigger than Alligator. It seems that in that day and time any dog from a cross, scatter bred or real rough were suspect of being a cur, so they did everything they could to stop Alligator. When they got to Trussell*s they ran Alligator on the tread mill for one half hour then fifteen minutes road work to cool him down, then to the roll pit, where he went over half an hour with the larger Dum Dum dog. It was nip and tuck and Alligator went across when he shouldn*t have on wobbly legs. This roll turned out to be a pretty good game test for Dum Dum too. When asked how it turned out, Trussell said, "The black dog gave Dummy everything he wanted

Lol I was thinking maybe he was too until I seen the fawn and white lmao. I've heard there have been a couple game dogs that were that color but after decades of breeding for size and color I doubt you'd find one now

..if it came from the right breeding...and shows the same promise ...why not..could/would'nt care if it had pink spots..as long as it shows as much as any other.......if this color showed up in a litter years back(before designer fad) it was'nt called blue..was it....??

 

..same as a producer if it was bred the right way...would ya care what color it was..???...don't have to be beautiful/ugly..to ..be a winner.......

 

Hollingsworth thought every black dog was a cur and look how many black dogs became gr. chs and ch. I agree with B8B don't think one should judge by the color

Top be real it does matter.blues have no game bred into them.think about they took it out with these new dogs they calling pits. plus they're too big to be in apbt conditions. No heart no game

...the blues that are bred to-day for color and only color...they could pop up in well bred litters from time-time..back yesteryear...but were'nt called blue...grey ...seal..silver/etc....but the color they breed today ............

old dog 2 black dogs can make a blue . there's been good dogs that were blue but they sure didn't breed to get a blue .

At a guess, I think, the OP is really suggesting, that a Game Dog can come in various hues and combinations. :o

 

blue dogs are am staff crosses it pretty much a mutt i see a lot of people on Facebook posting these dogs they are wide with huge heads I'm thinking they made this breed for marketing purposes to have a "quote on quote" blue nose pit bull that shit has got to stop for one there is no such thing as a blue nose lol people are just fucking morons these days the dog doesn't have a blue nose for one the and funny part is they actually argue with about the dogs nose being blue I'm not color blind lololol…...

The dum dum that was fawn and white dog might of had a blue tint, alot of oltimers didnt care to defferiate the shades/differences of blue wheteher it was a true blue or a shade of it...HH refered all sorts of shades of blue including seal,lMAO...
