Bozo was a 4x winning brother to Johnson's Grand Champion MISS RAGE. He was known as June's BOZO and later on as Arlis H.'s Bozo. His weight was 52-53 lbs. BOZO and RAGE were bred by Mormon Ted who had bred Morgan Whitey back to her sire, Loposay's Buster. Whitey was the dam of another top match dog. Gusto's BOJANGLES, when bred to a son of Loposay's BUSTER. Mormon ted had kept BOZO as his pick of the litter and watched Bozo mature into a 75lb., pumpkin head Goliath. unfortunately, Ted lived in a crowded sub-division and Bozo had to leave after an incident involving a teenager. Bozo was purchased by Arlis H., a classy gentleman from the old school type of fancier and he sent him down to Acme and me to be schooled and matched.

When I first met Bozo, I was impressed by his almost carbon copy of Carver's Stompanato. Bozo was not impressed by me and it took me about a week to get the huge bulldog to trust me. we schooled him, pulled him down in weight and found out that Bozo was a straight ahead bulldog with a slow but hard mouth. He struck me as a lazy performer, only turning it on in spurts. Frank Milen saw Bozo in action and repeatedly tried to match into him with ERNIE BUC the dog he got from Snakeman. After we had rolled Bozo about three times we agreed to match into Frank and ERNIE BUC for low stakes, intending this to be bozo's final schooling experience. Bozo worked like he did everything else, only when he felt like it. I took him regularly to a wild life refuge where he got excited about the scent of the animals that roamed the refuge. During one workout, Bozo inadvertently pushed a herd of deer out onto a peninsula that jutted out into the river. The deer decided not to jump in the river to get away but exploded from the bushes running right at me and Bozo in an effort to escape. Bozo almost pulled down one deer as it jumped over him. From that point on Bozo was more interested in his workouts.

In the meantime, Frank had gotten a insurance settlement and wanted to increase the wager by 10 times the original bet. We agreed ind the dogs met early one morning. ERNIE BUC was a fast starter and was all over bozo, However, ERNIE's Fast start woke Bozo up and started to swap out hold, this was perfect for the harder mouth Bozo, who had his opponent directly in front him Ernie BUC picked up in 49 Minutes.

Sometime after this match I found out that Bozo Enjoyed the taste of beer. He was an above average match dog, but as a beer drinker he was an ace. When drinking, Bozo was friendly to everyone. In striking contrast to his temperament when he was sober. This presented a problem since Bozo's owner breeder and his new owner both view the consumption of alcohol with disdain. Mormon Ted and Arlis attended a bar-B-Que at Acme's and were surprised to find Bozo happy as a lark and smelling strongly of beer. Apparently the sight of Bozo intoxicated was so shocking to Mormon Ted that he consumed a considerable amount of beer and became gutter crawling drunk.

Bozo's 2nd match was against a slick defensive dog that had won his first over a son of OSO Negro. This dog frustrated Bozo for twenty minutes, until Acme, who was handling, got right into Bozo's face and talked him back into the match. After that Bozo started getting in some good shots and the defensive dog stopped in 32 minutes.. After this 2nd win, Arlis took his dog further south. Some sort of ga; was worked out and Bozo ended up with June Bug, where he was said to have won two more matches.

Bozo's offspring have won matches and his name appears in the pedigree of winning bulldogs throughout the South East. So when you see Bozo's name in a pedigree you'll probably have a talented bulldog. Give the prospect a beer and you'll see if B0zo passed on his traits to his pups.

    This part cracked me up:
