I got an email earlier about this inccident and in just a couple of paragraphs the dog was described as a stafford, a stafford type, a pitbull type and a doberman pitbull cross then at the end of the report it was a stafford again????
And these are the people who decides whaether a dog is a pitbull type and then deemed too dangerous to be out in public, makes me sick....

I don't think the media should be allowed to spew false information when it comes to dog breeds (and anything to be honest). I believe they should be allowed to call it "large dog", "small dog", etc. Incorrect labeling of dogs (seems any dogs that bite someone are called Pit Bulls even when they're not) is what gets BSL put into place. I can't be bothered to find the picture right now but I remember an image showing three dogs that looked like APBT and under each dog, showed the percentage of each breed that made up the dogs (based on DNA tests)

but.. the media loves hating on Pit Bulls and bully breeds so I doubt it will ever come to fruition.
