Zebo (Lester Hughes gr ch Zebo) was an undefeated grand champion pure ace black dog with white markings bred by Lonzo Pratt who overcame his adversity and his dealt hand against all odds. His reputation was built on taking Wins from the best of the best at the time, going into high caliber opponents, and making it look easy (even as an old worn dog). I have seen and heard dog men list him as a 7xW, an 8xW, a 10xW. I've read in documents and historical sources that definitely point to well over 10 contract. I don't know so I usually just put 7+xW. His production is kind of odd too. He was not bred that much and many the bitches bred to him were not kept track of at all. Grand Champ Zebo produced more champions than credited. Zebo produced outstanding and unbeatable offspring.

Vindicator (Brewers Vindicator) was a red red nosed dog bred by Lonzo Pratt. Some say he was better than his brother. Vindicator was a 2xWinner 1xLoser winning each in identical times of 1:30 and losing his third to Cutchins Ace. Vindicator died at a young age of heart worms.

The better of the two was "Zero", as Zebo was originally named, who gained his fame as a match dog and a producer. Zebo became a registered Grand Champion, a Register of Merit sire, and a member of the Bulldog Hall Of Fame, the first and only dog to be recognized by these three honours!

Lester hughes in an interview said Willie brown was there with his wife and daughter and he and Lonzo were rolling out dogs. They rolled Vindicator and Zebo. Lester said it was a short roll the way they were hurting eachother and it could not have gone very long without them killing each other. Vindicator was going after Zebo's front legs but Zebo was hurting Vindicators face and nose putting holes in his muzzle the size of Lesters finger and the blood was running all over.

Vindicator was Lonzos favorite, but Lester asked Willie brown privately which dog he liked better and he said hed seen them both rolled before and he liked Zebo the best! Lester liked the dog (Zebo) real good, but he didn't buy Zebo that day. Lester went back a couple of months later and Lonzo had rolled Zebo on a dog that weighed about 85 pounds.
