Well its finnaly happening,in two weeks the city council will vote on these regulations for pit bull owners

.mandatory spay/nueter
.mandatory micro chips
.No household may own more than two pitbulls
and my favorite,No convicted felon may own a pit bull or reside with someone who owns one,WTF?
.Illegal to own anything that may be considered fighting paraphanilia
.increased licensing fees

Someone need to say to these ones that THE BREED IS NOT THE PROBLEM!!!

 

All I can say is fight it. Write letters & by all means go to the city council meetings armed with data & pictures!

yeah,I will be busy writing tonight and i've allready contacted the kennel clubs in the city and I'm glad to say evryone is getting ready for the fight.

Thanks everyone,They usually do this about once a year and I'ts allways been rejected.

 

That sucks, alot of areas have banned them completely atleast you get to have them. Still sucks tho. What would you concider fair inregards to local BSL ? This question is for everbody. If they forced you to come to a compromise what would give and what would you not let happen. I argue this crap with my sister all the time and it is interesting to hear the Laws side of things.

I personally can't stand anyone telling me what to do, what I can own, who i can hang out with.

 

All right somebody really need to do something,...punks pick little or stupid sh-t, to f*** with people about, while the world is in that little hand basket right around the corner from hell.But pit bulls are the problem and if they do something about them it would fixed the world..hurray!!!...But I was always told,to keep looking over your shoulder,when there is alot of noise being made over things that don't make a difference one way or another.so let it keep happening or do something.

 

Its not so much the rules ,which I agree are not to bad considering what some other places have done.I think the only fair animal laws should apply to every breed.It just the thought that if we say Okay,these rules arent too bad,they will just keep adding on untill they gey what they want ,which is no more working dogs.Everyone would have to own min poodles or something.I also just REALLY hate the idea of so much government intrusion into my life.And really there are way more important things to worry about than dogs,I would think most citizens would be more concerned about 25,000+ registered sex offenders that live in this city or these punk ass kids who like to think they're gangsters and pretend this is compton or something.We have had stabbings and shootings every week for the past three weeks!About a month ago,a woman was stabbed to death in a gas station ,in the middle of the day,and people stepped around her while she was laying on the floor bleeding to death ,to continue their shopping.that is of course except the ones who stopped to take pictures of her on their cell phones.No one called 911 for twenty minutes! And people are worried about Killers dogs.

My sister goes on calls all the time for dog bites and believe it or not...its the Golden Retriever that is guilty the most and little CocherSpaniels too.

 

LOL,I believe it,We used to have a golden that would board at the clinic during the day while his owner was at work.And while he was never HA,that dog would rip a new one in any dog that came near him.He was a fighting S.O.B,man I loved that dog!

 

Thats the fear, before you know it our dogs will be shackled, muzzled and crated in a cage locked in our basements. Give them an inch then they take a mile.

A few of the suggestions are not so bad, I think ALL dogs should be microchipped and tattoo'd . And its not for tracking our dogs its more to catch the scumbags that tie thier unwanted dogs to tombstones in the local cemetarys with no food or water. Seems to be a popular dumping ground here in my city.

I think spayed and nueter is a given, unless you belong to a club and actively participate or a licenced breeder. And I agree, its all or nothing, if my dog has to wear a muzzle then everyones dog should have to wear one too.
