Could someone please give me some background on Camelot dogs. I have seen many websites that claim that this line is OFRN. Are these dogs even purebred APBT's. Some of them look pure and others look "bully". Most seem to run large, 75-90 pounds. I have always been under the impression that a true gamedog is between 40-65 pounds and 80 pounds is considered huge. These dogs appear to have originated in Florida. Not bashing these dogs, just want to know the truth.

All the Camelot dogs I've ever seen have been pretty big. I would consider them a bully seeing as how they can get to be over 100 pounds. I have a friend who has a Camelot dog (who is a grandson of Chevy Red), the same age as one of my dogs, and he is twice the size. I don't know anything about the history. But, a Camelot dog and an OFRN dog are NOT the same.

I believe they are bred for weight pull and personal protection. The sire of my friend's dog has won a couple of iron dog competitions too. I saw him at the ABA show this year. He is a BIG boy. LOL Here are a few pictures of him.

Even in weight pull, these big mastiff-mixes aren't useful. Yes, a larger dog will pull more weight. Common sense, folks. But most competitions go by percentage pulled, and that is where a smaller dog will always win.

What about Chevy Red? Doesn't he hold the world's record?

Chevy Red is an Whopper dog, not a Camelot dog. Unless there are two Chevy Reds???

As for the Camelot line, they like to claim OFRN b/c their line supposedly goes back to that blood. But those dogs are no more OFRN than my Buba dogs are.

As a whole the line is one bred for size & looks. Some ppl pull them, but they are mostly used as penis extensions, bred w/o regard of the standard, either physically or mentally. In fact, it is known that one of their main stud dogs, Camelot's "The Duke" was a terrible man-eater.

Well, that's all I know. Hope this helps.

They are joking right? They don't really think that's an APBT. Please, someone tell me they are joking.
