    the line has been a primary blend of redboy snooty and bolio...those lines were kept straight as well as crossed in differing proportions....the ones i have liked the most are the breedings with a straight redboy male on top and a snooty/bolio bottom. the bolio strain coming thru midnite (littermate to bullboybob) have worked best for me...the yocum/derby (crums cremator/carribou) line i did not care for...those dogs had been phased out in recent years because of lower percentages...
    mims stuff was loaned out and then given away to the leblanc family. never had or saw anything off him...but this is my opinion on that...(regardless of its worth,LOL)...stuff was a redboy dog...so when he was bred at the leblancs people were getting a redboy breeding not a mims breeding...the blood remains the same but the breeders change...so when i take two mims dogs and breed them they are not mims dogs...he may have chose to breed them a different way, or not even breed them at all...if i breed two mims dogs they would be redboy.snooty/bolio....not mims....so when the leblancs bred the mims stuff dog and the mims ricochet dog....they were leblance breedings...same blood but different breeder...US1

    by no means are the others junk...these are ones that i have had personal experience with thru the years....the best thing about having them is that they are consistently game...as high a percentage of game dogs as any one out there...and for whatever reasons they seem to cross well with just about anything....PATRICK/MIMS has been really nice...ELI (CARDENAS>KRONOs)XMIMS have warranted repeat breedings....
    mims minnie was such a producer she made winners out of that cur bullet (edwards stoney) blood...she should have made ROM for that fact alone....LOL...US1

    I got my first pit bull around 1982. Back then there was no free long distance as a matter of fact you were charged long distance just to call the next county even in the same area code. Talk to dogmen from this era and they will tell you about phone bills that were more then their house payments. So what was done among most of us especially to the old timers were we wrote actual letters. Getting letters from each other back then by mail was a regular thing. I know I wrote a dozen letters a week and still had a 300-500 a month house phone bill. The old timers knew that if a man sat down and took the time to write him a letter. Not a note. But a 2 or 3 page hand written letter. Tell him a little about your self and what you are looking for maybe ask for a photo of one of the mans dogs. Send a picture of one of your dogs. This is how it was done.

    Nothing better then going to the mail box and having correspondence from a dogman you admire waiting to be read. He might even send you his phone number and you can call him and get a 700$ phone bill that month.

    In todays world very few letters are sent to each other by mail. I still get a few from folks and I cherish them and write back to everyone that writes me. Getting a nice letter from someone that is interested in your work is rewarding. Take that address you got and write Carl a letter, he will love it.

    well said. was at the home of HC earlier today...was in the game back in the day...to describe him would be loud....gray bearded...bibbed overhauls....ran with DTA's pops back in the day...with the JE's, AB's, TG's, FS's, LL's, etc...etc...and he said the exact same thing...he said one time he was working on a deal with a lady that pushed the redboy stuff and said he had a $300 phone bill to end up with a $150 puppy....what a coincidence someone brought up the phone bills and letter writing on here today....
    he talked about a few of the pig pickin's he had and the ones he attended....gundu he spoke highly of you...he told me when you were getting started he told the 'old timers' (his words) that in time you would be a force to be reckoned with....purely on desire and committment alone...he says now he is old and tired and can only tell the stories these days...and for me they are good ones to listen to...some may be stretched out here and there, but a good listen nonetheless....US1

    hc is a good ol boy ...always been honest and kind. i was talking to my mother in law recently and she brought his name up in a kind fashion where he had recently visited a sick mutual friend. you got a great friend there slim. tell him i said howdy!!!

    tried the extra and the yocum stuff but could not make it work...maybe it was just the ones i had....just liked the spiffy/jiggs/lucky/rainbow/punch stuff better...US1

    heard the extra blood was to be culled due took low numbers of turn out,but when it was crossed produce well.i do't know much about these dogs.did find that yocum was one of mr.mims favs.the j-hood fussy 50/50 might not produce well.the one i just lost bel's brandy was game as they come but nothing else.was trying the cross because of her,hoping a 50/50 cross would produce more all around bulldogs.i thought you like the sorrel/crum(tombstone/bolio) crosses.

    if the bottom bitch is yours and if it is the same d-moey that has kilo...breed to kilo...seen his littermate sister....and heard great things about kilo before he is where he is now...and i do not know if there is a certain amount of redboy required...but of the ones i have seen the best seem to be 50%RB and a 25/25 split of bolio and snooty...but that is just what i have seen...i am sure there are different csombinations and different percentages that are just as good, if not better...US1
