This is my one year old Kasha chewing innocently on a cow hoof when Kirin (my 2yr old Russian Blue) comes up and wants to rough house. Saddly she didn't want to or else the video would've been a lot better maybe next time.

    Aww poor doggie-
all I have to say is good thing it wasn't any of my dogs- they wouldn't have tolerated the cat like yours did!
all I'd have to say is bye bye kitty-

When my cats start getting hungry they are so mean to my dog. If my dog even looks at them the cats will try to attack.Lol. it is very funny but i feel bad for my dog because she just wants to play. My dog will just follow the cats around and when i am not looking she will nip at their tails. Very funny

I have tried to see the video but so far it hasn't loaded for me. Any way Gretchen got too close to one of my cousins cats in Michigan and got the claw action. She didn't quite know how to take it then. She runs them off now. I suppose being buddies isn't an option now for her. I am allergic to cats so I don't know but what do cats do and what can you do with a cat? Do they work? My buddy has barn cats and my dogs kill more rats and mice than them. I don't even think cats can kill rats. I do know our dogs can and how. Educate the Magyar on the cat.

  8. I bet nearly every dog would...even every Pitdog! But nerly every dog would kill a STRANGE cat. And thats the point, if the dog knows the cat for a long time he would not only accept the cat no he would love her and maybe in some cases fight for her......and if she had a problem with other cats he would maybe kill the strange cats...lol...but not HIS cat.

Yes that is true that nealy every dog may kill a strange cat. But would strange katz go well with pomfritz mit mayo? lol.Joking. I have seen dogs be friends with cats and make them part of the family (pack) and play, and protect it. Good point.

  10. I read a good bock from Erik Zimen, a well known swedish economist. He had kennels with wolves and kennels with dogs, for example poodles. This man made interesting experiments, for example he crossed wolves with poodles and then he watched the behaviour of this mixed wolve-dogs. He told that he had some cats to and that they jumped a several times in the poodles yard and then the poodles started barking and they tryed to catch the cat but the cat always managed to survive.......however one time a cat jumped into the wolves yard.....you know what hapened? He sayd the cat was dead as a frozen chicken @ss long before theyr feed had a chance to touch the ground. One wolve catched the cat out of the air and she was gone in less then two seconds.....THATS 100 % natural behaviour....you know the origin of ouer dogs.

I will have to get that Book. Sounds like a good read. Wonder why he picked Poodles? odd dog to pick. Sounds like it is funny too. I am always up for a study.

The story about the poodles and the poodle/wolves sounds like a good read. I'd like to point out here that poodles were originally bred to be retrieving dogs...They are intelligent and agile. No matter how much they have been spoiled by idiot owners and breeders in the past hundred years or so...
I'd also like to point out that although dogs descended from wolves, dogs are the result of thousands of years of domestic life and selective breeding to suit human purposes and it is erroneous to equate dog and wolf behavior although it is interesting to study it and compare it.

That's too funny! I've got 2 cats that look just like your cat. My Johnny Cat, is way worse. He sneaks up on Sugar when hiding in his cat house, then jumps on her back, kicking. Sugar turns around, jumps up & runs after him. Makes for a good laugh!
