This is my second apbt he's a little on the bigger side but one hell of a catch dog!!! First time he saw a hog he hit it like a freight train like if he knew all along what his job was lol. A family was going to take em to the pound because they were going to move into an apartment where they didn't allow dogs so I got the call and took him in. I'm sure he was gonna get put down at the pound I'm sure happy I got him...

As far as aggression Bo has an excellent handle when it comes to other dogs I can throw in a box full of dogs no problem he just wants to go hunting. The other one needs a little work but then again he was full grown when I took him in, but it's nothing that can't be corrected

That is one big ass hog in the third pic down. Would like to hear a story on how you got that one. I hate to say it but I wish we had hogs up here in Ohio. The most fun I get to have hunting with the dogs is a barn full of coon. I have family out in Corpus Christi Texas my cousin uncle aunt live there and my lil brother just graduated from Rice university this year and got a job in Houston so hopefully I can make it out there and do some hunting soon.

Houston ain't but 2 in a half hours from here Jlusk! Whenever your ready brother we do this job of catching hogs to help the local farmers keep the population of hogs on check while getting our dogs some fun and work all in one. We scratch the farmers back by harvesting the hogs, and they scratch ours by providing dog food year round and a little extra cash in our pocket :) it's a ton of fun but does take a toll on you and the dogs. Staying up late is the main one for me lol then having to wake up early for work in the morning. The way I see it I'll always have a story to tell in the mornings about how good my dogs worked and hogs we get. I'm a farmer myself and know the land we hunt about 20,000 acres of grain/corn fields during the summer months here we actually went last night caught a nice hog.

The story on that rhino hog? Where do I start :D remember it like it was last night it was 2 years ago in a grain field that is butt up next to a wildlife refuge that holds tons of hogs. Got a call from jimmy a local farmer that owned that particular property. He called and asked us if we could help him? he talked about a monster hog he had been seeing destroying his crops and swore it was 500 pounds which I knew wasn't true because typically wild boars around here are lucky to reach 300 pounds but I was sure it was big by the way he explained it to me so we load up the dogs that same night and it was weird night kinda fit the perspective of the monster hog lol it was lightening and thundering but no rain so we decided to hunt. Load up tank (lab ridgeback mix) rascal (cur) rocky ( black n tan) and our two main catch dogs Tiny ( blue blooded alapaha ) and Bo ( my red apbt ).... We pull up to the property and immediately see hog damage on the edge of the field. Grain stocks pulled out of the field onto the dirt road and big crop circles where the hogs had been eating it, so I throw the strike dogs on the hood of the truck and we start creeping down wind of the field trying to get the dogs on em! It didn't take but 100 yards and tank right away jumps off the hood and dashes into the field jumping as hes crossing the Heavy crops. It gets quiet then 150 yards to the right of us he opens up on that hog thunder roaring he started hammering. The other two strike dogs hear him and head his way! now usually those three dogs will catch a good size boar up to 200 pounds without help from the bulldogs but not this time they were all bayed up it sounded like a war zone lol. So we knew it was a good hog...We quietly get off the truck grab leads, snap the bulldogs, and start making our way to the bay. I like to turn my bulldogs loose no farther then 50 yards so I'm right behind them when they hit. A lot of doggers loose good catch dogs because they turn em loose no matter how far the bay dogs are barking and to me that no bueno... The longer you take to get there the more prone your dogs are of getting cut. Anyway back to the story we get about 50 yards and on the count of three turn Bo and Tiny loose. Both of them plowing threw the crops and get to the boar hog and hit I see one of the two get thrown up over the top of the grain. Idk if y'all are familiar with plant but it's about chest high. When I saw that my heart sunk and for a minute it got quiet. Then again and again they tried and on the 4th hit both tiny and Bo were latched on each ear like earrings lol that hog was walking away with them quite a sight to see my buddy mike jumps on his back and urges me to dispatch of him quickly before he wounds a dog. Got in there stuck em on both sides then he finally went down. One hell of a hog with a lot of fight in him. Boy was jimmy happy to see him the next morning haha no dogs were hurt and a big boar down it was a night to remember. Hog ended up weighing 280 something... With 2 1/2 tusk mean sob
