Cleaning out old broods milk.

    Once saw a dvd by cal.Jack about this subject to stop fading pups from happening .He suggested using sulfatrim /bird sulfa on the old brood bitch to clean up any underlying bacteria that could be a problem once the pups are suckling.The problem is i cannot remember if the course was started on heat day 1 or on mating day.Any help appreciated .
