I wouldnt say greatest but it is all natural with no chemicals involved and it does help prevent fleas and ticks and can help some with internal parasites. Food grade is the only type one should be using. When using D.E. for flea and tick prevention you need to use a lot, using it sparingly is not as effective. A lot in my opinion means 2 cups once every week per dog/house/chain spot. Also if you live in wet areas any time it rains you need to redo it. Besides using D.E. directly on your dog it can also be used inside the dog houses and in kennels and in/around chain spots. For internal parasites its not as effective IMO due to excess moisture as D.E. seems to work best when dry. You can purchase a 50lbs bag of D.E. for $40.00. My 2 main concerns of using D.E. is the inhalation and intestinal blockage long term side effects.

I use it, don't know if it actually works for worms since I worm with safe guard. I use it mostly in the cedar shavings in the houses though I have put it in their feed as well. I agree with Sai, you have to feed them a good amount and I'd rather not and just worm the dogs. Panacur/safeguard/fenzo is a pretty safe drug on dogs and been used a long time. I use the D.E more for shit like fleas and ants. I've always been skeptical on it being an effective wormer since D.E. it not effective once wet. It works like shrapnel. Works it's way into an exoskeleton and kills the pest.

I haven't saw anything it's good for..I'm sure non food grade kills fleas but ,I wouldn't want my dogs to breath any of it.I have no use for this product.

I use it on the yard and in the doghouses. I'm about half to quarter mile from the swamps so I normally have bugs real bad around the place. I usually start putting it out before the weather warms up and use about 100 pounds a month. For me it's cheaper than buying any chemical to control pest. I always have bee problem in summer but they seem to stay away when you use DE. I've never subscribed to the it'll worm em out theory though.

I use a pump spray mixed with diluted apple cider vinegar and clean my dog with hibiscrub antibacterial for skin conditions. Seems to be working for him. I use drontal for worming bought on amazon.

I have been reading about DE as a silica source for people and animals, and I just ordered some food grade DE. The theory is that your body needs silica, just as it needs many other trace minerals. Some foods are naturally high in siluca, such as oatmeal, beer, Fiji water and bell peppers. You can make your own silica rich mineral water by putting an inch of DE in a Mason jar and then filling with water and using the water after the particles settle to the bottom, and refilling the water as you use it. That's what I am going to try. Silica is claimed to be good for skin, hair, nails, bones and joints.

I used it in my dog feed and it cleared up a dog when nothing else I tried would. Still add it to the straw in the dog houses.

DE does harm worms by injuring them but does not rid them.
