    A Rose from the Wetlands

Contributed to Don Mayfield by F.W.K. ‘’The Wetlands 3/2001’’

It’s a while ago since I sat down under the shade of a tree enjoying some of the best crop while talking ‘bulldogs’ with one of the most well know dog man in the history of the breed.

Don Mayfield one of the most active & winning sportsman when the sport was on his peak.

Many years are gone by but many of the things he told me aren’t forgotten but will stuck in my mind forever.

I can’t agree with all things he got to say, but strongly believe the man knows more about this great breed then most man ever will learn in their entire lives , or maybe better said, he have forgotten more then most other man will learn during their years in the dogs.

The dogs he once exported to overseas to the yard of Keystone Kennels are still in the background of some of the dogs who’re used in the core of the game were we’re from, the blood still resists.

Don this Rose is for you for the many accomplishments and contributions to the game of yesterday and today.

‘’ Keep On Scratching Don and Live a Long Peace Full Happy Life’’.

Both were under the wings of Tudor , what I recall had Don Mayfield no trouble with Earl.

Those man fought a war and in war and love everything is allowed.
Finding out the other man's secrets and tactics can be rewarding if it is ethical?, read my tributo to Don good, let it sink in, and all questioms are answered, Don was a legend in the dogs, a true bulldogman and so I'll remember him.
