Took the dogs to the park yesterday, usually I just take them for a stroll on the nature trail but this time the dog yards were empty so I took advantage. A pit mix pup joined them for a bit after meeting through the fence and they all played well. Eva so far has been fantastic so far with every dog she meets, even tiny dogs. Angus has always been good with all other dogs except very small puppies. Of course, that doesn't mean I'd let them play with small dogs or trust Angus around other males 100% nor do I expect them to tolerate too much from other dogs. I don't expect them to be able to share toys with each other forever either but right now If Angus has a toy he will shove it in her face to start a tug game and Eva has not shown any issues with him being a pest. That'll probably change as Eva gets older but for now they can mess about and be puppies.

Eva's ears are all over the place right now, I'm hoping they settle down soon. Not that ears matter one bit and I think they give her character.

Hi I'm new to GD late to your thread.

What are you doing to have her ripped like that?
What type and how much food to you feed her a day?
    Keep posting :)

    Hi Swiper, Thanks!
I think you meant to ask about Angus. The thread's about Eva but I post pictures of him here anyway. Eva is a puppy so she isn't conditioned. I don't do much with her except hand walk about a mile or two a day and occasional flirtpole. Angus on the other hand gets a variety of things to do, flirtpole, springpole, drag weight and treadmill.

What and how much he eats depends on what he's done that day. His "Base" what he eats on a lazy day is 1 and 1/3 cup of 50/50 Orijen dry kibble (flavors vary at the moment it's 6 fish) and Grandma Lucy's PureFormance (again, varies, he's on chicken right now) dehydrated food. He gets 2 meals a day for his base. I also add fat in the form of salmon oil and coconut oil, these have the added benefit of making his coat nice and shiny. If I'm really working him hard he'll get as many as 4 meals a day and can eat up to 2 cups. I'll feed him small high protein meals a half hour after working him and I'll add K9 Superfuel to those.

    Nice!!
Do you do any competition activities with Angus?

I get my pup in 10 days, I picked up some Orijen, EVO brochures at the pet store yesterday, they guy said Orijen is one of the better foods right now, he said EVO changed ownership and is not so hot right now.
Do you think it is super important to feed high end food during the early stages of a pup? I cant be too active with him for a while still. I hope his structure can develop well with moderate exercise and a good diet.
Thinking to play alot of tug, a springpole for him with 3 feet on the ground and alot of fun obedience/agility training.

Thanks! At the moment I'm not doing anything competitive with Angus. I work weekends which makes it tough to make it to any events. He's got some health issues but we've learned to work around them and he can do most things without problems as long as he's warmed up first and cooled down after.

Thank You C! She is a dream come true. She is both the perfect companion and has tons of energy and stamina. She is a huge people lover and super polite and gentle. She has great focus and will do anything to please. I cannot wait to get her lure coursing.

  19. She's a fine looking animal! 12 gauge am I right to assume you bred this dog? Also COOP DOG'S Leroy? If so I congratulate you! Your dogs look like pre KC Staffords!
