eye problem

was wondering if anybody could give me a little help today i was letting my dog out into my garden for the toilet he came back into the house then i let my bitch out when she had finished i went back in and my friend said he thought the dog had something in his eye
so i tryed to check it but he kept pulling away so called the vet and arranged to meet her there. called my mum she picked me up then went to the vet, got there all in the space of 15-20 mins tops the vet gave him an eye drop that she said would relieve the pain she checked it to see if he had anything stuck in there then checked to see if he had cut or scratched the eye but she said there was nothing she could see she also gave him another 2 kinds of eye drop plus an anaisthetic injection after a short period his eye opened but he went back to closing it after an hour then he went to sleep for a while he got back up about 20 past 11 he was opening it alot better than before but closing it when in my kitchen because of the bright light the vet said this might happing. it first started about seven oclock.was just wondering if yous could give some advice as to what might have caused as he didnt seem in any actual pain and only pawed at it occaisonally and the vet said to take him back on monday unless it worsened but as per usual i get a bit overly worried so any insight would be appreciated and sorry about the huge thread.

 

likely he scratched his eye. The vet's drop make his pupil huge? and eye water? Keep the lights low and let him rest...Should be ok...where ya from over there? He probably already ok now..

 

your right his pupil did go huge and water looked quite blue but phoned the vet to tell her she said it would be cool as long as it didnt go cloudy , but it was fully open since the back of twelve this afternoon so looking much better and i am from just outside Edinburgh
