well im sure the old school blood lines still have gameness (depending who you get it from) but it wont be able to hunt. When was the Last Time you heard of a Corvino dog in the FastLane?
It simply cant compete. If you want a Novelty or breeding stock get one and see if its worth it. then your going to have to out cross it because the old timers dont do much out crossing now a days so they lack vigor(mouth, Wrestling, Strength, weak structure) But if the Old Timer looking for one thing in a dog more then like you will get one thing wrapped in a inbred dog. Who knows what your going to get when you outcross it. Only a Few old timers are in the Fast Lane and some dont consider themselves old timers lol.

I prefer the dog that was bred for it all. as oposed to a dog that a german shepard would wipe the floor with and end up killing lol

  4. I guess Redboy dogs don't figure today in Fast Lane Dogs? I guess Yellow is not involved in Mayday dogs? I guess Boomer is not off of Red Boy. When you are talking about old school, I didn't mean back to Centipede..

Obviously RB dogs don't fall under the "novelty" category boogie was talking about or the fastlane vs old school stock grave digger was asking about.

like i said before, its not black and white but it would be foolish to expect any line that hasn't been very active to compete at the highest level. You may get some but not as many as the lines with money riding on them.

boogieman you say funny things. just what do you think CUDA comes from? hers a hint CUDA comes from a "oldschool" bloodline just like your pup comes from a "oldschool" bloodline lol. no matter what you think all your doing is use blood that has been used before you were born. & hers some more info inbred dogs have produced more "fastlane" dogs then you could count. & have a look @ the rom list take a peek & see how many inbred dogs of rank you see. the men you listed in your post would have you shiting a brick on the wood.

the point is to constantly improve. we read about and respect the older dogs but we should improve with every litter. its just like the nba. bob cousy is considered an all-time great bc of how good he was back then. fact of the matter is he didnt even have a good left hand. the worst player in the nba right now would wipe the floor with him. the players now are so much better. they were important but honestly could never compete in todays game

    lol
    @
    Centipede
    but
Yellow is a Hybrid redboy jocko he made his own line and So is Mayday with the addition of Bolio through Hollingsworth.
Bro have you seen a pure hollingsworth hound go? Its never pretty for him but he brings durability. Redboy bring the Gameness, Jocko brings the mouth. and Trust me I seen all of these traits all in 1 dog often in that line.
I just rather have it all in 1 dog then just gameness and its just my opinion. I dont think those old redboy dogs will get it done. Reason in one of your post you asked about mims dogs or Marlowe i said mims through yocum. I know because I started with a Pure redboy dog that couldnt do sh!t and a chinaman dog I got from Vinny which one I liked better guess?
Its my opinion but I just cant see them competeting they dont even make to the event

boogieman where do you come up with your reasoning ? a outcross is a last option not a first choice. if YOU need vigor in your stock then maybe you need to rethink where you get your stock from. the reason you don't here about joe C is because he been dead 50 years..................PS wasn't CUDA inbred?

  10. No problem. I think you are wrong though. I love the Hollingsworth stuff. Loved Haunch. Bull and probably one of the greatest bitches of all time. Wasn't the dog that stopped Haunch a Mims head specailist? That would be old school, no?

no dog stoped haunch, haunch stopped the other dog and proved himself a true bulldog, haunch lost his life but he brought home the bacon...

  13. I know Haunch won and the other dog's gameness was in question. I knew Haunch died shortly after that? BB was Mims bred, correct?

I'm sorry that I derailed this thread. I didn't classify old school far enough back as was entitled. My bad.

You good bro i just ask about fastlane and old school stock, because people got there different taste of line of dogs now a days, people today is more for the mouth then gameness:o

who is more for mouth than gameness? i dont know anyone that wouldnt want a GAME apbt...i dont understand these statements?if your breeding your apbt and dont take gameness into consideration your just a complete idiot..

  16. This is where I derailed the thread. I made a blanket statement that the hard mouth fast lane dogs of today aren't tested like the stock of way back when. This is where the thread got off course. Plus the fact that I didn't go back far enough in the old school part.

Hahaha Corvino is deep I know, Nobody probly eve took the job of maintaining it or even keeping it around.
The King Fish, Maximilliam Blood cant be had pure.look to Eli crosses or TurtleBuster I almost Got 2 from somebody that TB Blood was handed down the blood or the man himself really cant remember but Fargo was too close up in the ped and I suspected hanging I think fargo was the grand sire. You get those 2 bloods rolled in 1. But what do you hear about that blood anyway? Red Devil shame what happen to this shit. You get it pure and you got pure bullies or weight pull
Boomerang I know of one that was PURE BOOMERANG he never did shit I think but he produced.
I only can speak from my experience and People may say im wrong but if you want a old school bloodlined hound I say go with Boomerang I may can locate the producer again

Im not in the right circle to comment on Tonka Bear and Maloney and far to biased to comment on loposay one of my favorites there

now i say this . if the breeders/dogmen are doing their job then the dogs of old wouldnt even be able to compete with the dogs today or even last a minute. this is because with each breeding you want to get a dog thats better than the last in all ways mouth/gameness etc... so in 50 years time you should have a dog that would be so much better than its ancestors..

  19. No offense meant before Boog..
