I knew that wouldn't be long. The continuing criminal enterprise was around the corner when they made the new laws. Wait and see when the first trial is over and these guys get put away for decades.

No the old school isn't interested in titles or stoking his ego with " my dogs are better than your dogs". He just wants to maintain HIS yard and stay out of prison. You can't feed a dog from behind bars and the dogs are what it's all about anyway. I'm thinking of someone who breeds feeds and checks in his own backyard and disappeared from the face of the earth about 30 years ago but keeps doin it right. [to Lakewood]

That is what I'm talking about. They are out there. You never see or hear about them. They would never post on a forum much less let anyone that they don't know see there stock. When the time is right, they appear and leave everyone scratching there heads. That is what the breed was meant to be. The internet and all the high profile guys are doing there best to kill the breed. I think its time to get back to the old ways.

there are people on here that use game dog as a tool and only as a tool. never post, i agree its out there.

 

When I was 18 I met a guy through a buddy who was into chickens. This old man had the best freakindogs I ever seen. One of his dogs had a seizure and the whole yard went NUTS!!!! The closest dog to it was throwing dirt with all four paws in a fit of rage. Every so often he'd stop shake his head all crazy like then try again. He wanted to finish that dog. The old man styed to himself cause he was afraid of THE MAN takin his dogs away. Said he got his line from someone in the 60s who picked them up from someone in the 30s. Never said what line but back then I'd a never known the difference. I tried to find him a couple years ago but he moved. He's still out there. And there's more like him.

IMO it's not about ch, gr ch, rom. It's about having a good stain and making it better and a match should be to see how the best of your stain is compared to the best of anothers. Leave the egos at home, it's ALL ABOUT THE DOGS.

 

I'm going back about 30 years on this one. A relative of mine was going to breed to some old timers dog 4 hours away in the sticks somewhere. I went along for the ride and my realtive knew the old timer for many years. How and why was not important. 4 hours in the car and all of a sudden out of the blue I get dropped off at a house. Now I was just a kid and the place had young-ins my age so it was cool. 6 hours later I get picked up and asked why I couldn't go to the guy with the dogs. My relative told me that that is not how its done and they didn't allow kids.

It took a little while to realize why things were done that way. I guess they knew what they were doing way back..

 

If the man behind his dogs is honest with himself and culls his stock, then any line can be competitive. So to answer your question I would be happy loosing DG, then just winning and still having doubts. Truth is there are no lanes...You bring your Ace, I bring mine. That's what the game is about right? Of course we're talking pre 1976

Why would you be happy losing tens of thousands of dollars to prove your dog is game? you can do that for free at home. but you did answer the question.
I never had an Ace i never will prob,its like hitting the lottery somebody will get one and youd be lucky to just know that person. YOU didnt have to post your dog bro, it reveals who you are. Nobody here needs to know.

 

im just curious how you know what happened if you were breeding kittens. Last rush was because of informants present. Not the internet. The recent ones. the one before that was the Journal selling tapes. so tell how the fuck would you know whats going on kitten breeder?

 

the greenwood stuff off of the ch blue stuff goes back that far, in the 6th(tudor's spike and dibo). doesn't really matter though, does it?? no

 

don't really get how u can compare new dogs with old dogs, though. don't new dogs come from old dogs? haha
