Another funny trait in the tab dogs I crack up every time I see this look at those back legs lol Ava's are funny looking too it's really cool though to see quirky traits like this passed on within a family of dogs it kind of trade marks them LOL.

Thank You for posting this one! nice front shot as well... You can see the love those two shared not to sound all mushy but in the pics and footage I have seen of Ken And Tornado they seemed to have a great bond and he handled her very well... she also seemed to be well trained I know she was in the house at times so I guess that was his baby lol.

Im talking about faults in general, my dogs show few if any faults now that we have selectivly bred them for this many years. As I said in my original post I have been commenting on photos that people have shown and many are discounting the flaws and faults that can be seen with the naked eye, in most cases said people make rude comments about the OP's ability to work said animal rather than looking deeper into the problems presented and maybe offering a solution to the problem.

I notice that you have WCC Rocky in the ped you have shown so maybe you can clear up the slipped hocks that were mentioned above I know Fagan didn't show this trait but did the trait pop up in any of Fagans offspring? Also, is the reason that Rocky is only at 10%-12% in that ped because of this flaw/fault or was he used primarily as an outcross (cousin cross)? Are there any dogs tight bred off Rocky still working and performing anywhere, I wouldn't know myself but would love to see a 2012 example of one.

the smokin joe dog off fagan and julie had some of the worst slipped hocks i've ever seen, he was a good little dog with a good heart and mind but not much of a performer.

I know that sometimes people have a dog thats so high up on thier ladder that even a fatal flaw won't discourage them from breeding the dog, sometimes it pays off other times it doesn't. Zebo was mentioned earlier and his flaw was production, imagine knowing what we know now and having those 2 breedings back to Honeybunch? I imagine a couple more lines could have been started off of her had she been bred to another family of dogs in those 2 breedings rather than Zebo.

I'd like to expand the topic a little, can anyone name a dog that had a fatal flaw but was bred in the right direction to eliminate the flaw and produce sound able bodied working dogs.I guess a cold dog or cur that produced gamedogs would fall under this category so lets rule them out and focus on physical flaws. How did the breeder go about eliminating the flaws, ie culling or more selective breeding etc.. I know of a fella by the name of Smith that used to different strains with great heart and mind but weaknesses that could not overcome thier opposition alone but when bred together the cream rose to the top and the flaws all but disapeared. Im sure that if he were to breed less selectively some of those traits would resurface but so far he has had success with the cross essentially cleaning up the genepool.

    Any thoughts?

The second picture down, that is Yankee Greg on the left of the Yankee Boys.Ken Allen was not the breeder of her nor did he start her career. Owner of Ch. Saloon was. I've seen most all those dogs hunt. Knew both Hoppy and the late Ronny S. very good, who also owned Butch, Stripper and the repeat beeding of Stripper and Butch born in my home town.
