First Heat question

My bitch is in her first heat. I've noticed really runny stools and since I feed raw, I watch for changes in poop, a lot.
Diet has not changed at all, but I'm concerned about her stools.
Could this be because she's in heat that stools have changed and are softer and more than normal?

The sudden change in hormones will affect the bowels sometimes.

Thanks trini. That's what I thought, but wanted a second opinion. Appreciate the reply!

  5. Every time my gyp comes in.her stools are slightly loose.I don't no what this means because her daughter does not get loose stools when she comes in.perhaps TriniBoy is right, about the hormones.I always thought that was the case.......personally I don't think it's nothing to worry about(I never have),just keep monitoring the stools.they should go back to normal pretty soon........

Doesn't affect all bitches the same. Some come into heat with no apparent changes except bleeding. Some get the loose stools, some get moody and cranky and sluggish. Different for different dogs.

Mine's hardly bleeding at all. Swollen, that's about it. She's a little cranky. More clingy than anything. Super whiny. And the licking omg incessant licking.
Granted, this is her first heat, my understanding is that subsequent heats could be worse.

  9. I had one like that.(though see always wines anyways)when she got older she bled more.her daughter never bleeds much?weird.different dogs I suppose?the 2 of them come in earlier then they did when they were younger as well......
