First time Breeding an older female

    What's up everyone.

I have a female that has never been bred that is now 9 years old. She is healthy as an ox and she is as energized, athletic, (and all bulldog) the same way she was when she was two.

I am thinking about breeding her but I have never bred a female at this age.

What are the negatives of breeding her at this age?

    Thanks.

I can not breakdown the pros and cons but I bred a bitch not long ago that was the same age. She was/is also healthy and athletic still. I didn't worry about it much and everything went fine. Good luck.

Treezpitz, was it your bitch's first time matting also? And what was the size of ? At this age I expect a small litter (5 pups max).

No, not her first. It was her 3rd litter. There was a total of 6 pups but 4 made it. If she's a healthy bitch, I don't see anything wrong with it.

I agree if she is healthy and acts young like you say then go for it but I wouldn't want to have a dog much older than that. Best of luck.
