Funny story

I bumped into my best friend from childhood earlier today. His Pops is the one that turned me on to/hooked me on the dogs as a kid. (Should have went to bulldog rehab long ago, LOL)

We hit the 7th grade together, I went to the 8th but he really liked the 7th. I went to the 9th and it was something cool about being in the 7th grade, so he stayed one more time. I went to the 10th and he went to the 8th. When I went to the 11th he had stood all the educating he could and quit.

His Pops put him to work pouring concrete, forming and then eventually he framed houses. With no formal education he can do things with a speed square and a framing square that would make a Geometry/Algebra professor really jealous. He has been a successful contractor/business owner for many years now.

I chose the military and he chose a 'work hard/party hard' approach.

We are both 50 now and we both look the part.

Babbling, but here is the funny. He looked over at the guy working with him and said I knew he was going to be hooked on dogs since we were 10-11 years old. "We built a clubhouse in the top of a horse stable, we stashed some Penthouse and Hustler magazines in there and one day when two or three of the kids were looking at pictures of the baddest hoochie-mamas on the planet I looked over there and he was just as deep into a Sporting Dog Journal".

I've been fucked up like this for a long time.
