[IMG]. Not sure what's in the water there, but here where I am , they wait their turn. All three taken out of the same barn floor , same 13 lb patt gyp. Never ever not once in multiple multiple digs and barn work have i had quarry gang up on a terrier.

  10. A good mountian cur will make a mess out of a coon in a hurry. I have a 52 pound Kemmer Stock registered cur, and he grabs the neck/throat, clamps down and in less than a minute he'll lay a dead coon at your feet. He's swapped spit with alot of coon since I started hunting him, he is silent on track and hunts out deep and catches several on the ground. There is no way that a hunter can stay with a fast track dog or a dog that ranges out a mile or so, so if the dog catches the coon it will be up to the dog to seal the deal.

I do agree, a coon in the water, is bad news. They will climb up on a dogs head and hold its head under and drown it. Two dogs are no problem though.

The big northern coon aren't nearly as hard on a dog as the 12-20 pound down south, they are big and slow and for some reason don't seem to have nearly as much fire in them.

I also keep my dogs vaccinated so rabies aren't any concern.

A 30 pound dog that will catch the neck and hold on can kill the baddest coon out there, now a big old nasty bobcat will make a dog earn its supper.

I don't know Bud! We had Coons on the farm that would run My Mother back inside the house, Of course That was till her dog got to about 8 months old and she let him clear all them out. Now she don't have any coons near the home place. But they were bad, Once they loose fear they will come right on the porch and wait till you take the trash out then mug you. But I can walk all night with a dog and get one or two, but hit the light on the trash dumpster and 3 or 4 will scatter then we try and run the turkey shot up there asses!

I don't understand why her dog waited until she was all beat up before stepping it. She said that her dog showed his teeth and the coons left. That's a weak ass dog.

Just heard on the news that a raccoon mauled and killed some lady's cocker spaniel near where I live. Animal control was trying to find it to see if it is rabid. They never caught it. Will those suckers attack a dog even if they are not rabid? Would they rather run if given the chance or do they choose to fight?

A lot of em will throw their weight around because they know most dogs under a certain size won't tangle with them long. I wouldn't be surprised if they stacked for no reason without being rabid. Dog might have bugged the coon do the coon took it out.

That woman should have had a game-dog instead of that coward laying on the floor.

  20. I'm assuming you've got a yard full of game dogs, huh? What are you, 12?

And about those 'Greybull' dogs, they added APBT for improved scenting ability? Since when does a APBT improve a greyhound's scenting ability?
