What methods do you use to encourage them to run on the mill? Bait, lures?? Inclines then decrease?? Mine are new to it put just trot. Better than nothing but want them running. Any ideas?

In Mayfields keep he said use a jug or a coon to get them fired up.

My male wasn't keen, as soon as he realised he got a treat when he got off he couldn't get enough.

Why do they need to be on a treadmill?

Just for exercise, when it's rainy or snowy out or to get the dog in shape for a confirmation show.

You know, I'd love to get an idea of exactly WHAT the perfect pit looks like in the eyes of those who show, etc. They all look so different. Didn't get in to pits until about 2 years ago and I have been learning every day since I started this paper.

My dog would def do the treadmill if food was involved. LOL
