Everything on this post is pure speculation, nobody can deny he was a great dog but calling him the greatest etc,is pointless. Its like comparing jimmy Wilde to Benny Leonard to Willie pep to Floyd Mayweather etc, but how people still question his ability as a producer - I totally don't understand. If you read interviews with all the top NC dogmen they all say the same thing, half the winning dogs bred down from him - their matches were never reported. He's a genuine great dog.

If Zebo was out of Eli he'd have produced better

I've been to Lumberton N.C. They have a lot of good dogs and a lot of Eli dogs too.

 

Yes he was Carver's favorite dog.I agree ironhead had more of a impact on these dogs too.

 

So was Chinaman and Mountain Man's Homer.

 

NKK (AS) was close with the NC dogmen and stayed with FB who was a good host and knowledgeable dogman.. He told me FB organised tours of bulldog kennels and places of historic interest while he was there.. One attraction was the barn where Zebo was schooled as a youngster.. A new family had bought the property and never knew the significance of their own Barn.. FB would just drive up to the house, people with cameras would pile out, take pictures of the barn, then jump back into the car and they were gone! The people who lived there must have wondered what the fuck was going on? Maybe questioned whether murders were committed in their barn.. Probably not wrong!
