Good advice Treez, my buddy has that same nut sack 100 round drum. Chit can get a lil heavy but feel like Rambo busting 100 rounds.

BK, we had this talk. My recommendation is a Ruger Sr9. Perfect for a woman to fire. Good stopping power, low recoil, superb accuracy, &less worry about going through n through.

When you say "nut sack" it sounds like you're speaking of a different drum. Sounds like a AR 15 drum. This pic index1.jpg is a ar 15 100 rounder.

New toy - fun to carry - fun to shoot (with 2 extra mag.s I'm carrying 90 rounds). Makes a great camp/woods gun. If I cannot stop somebody w/ 30 rounds I will give them the gun and let them beat me to death w/ it.

i'd pick something with more stopping power for home defense. it could be fun but I def wouldn't use it as a side arm in the woods. having to unload 5, 10, 30 rounds isn't very effective in the real world, jmo.

NP Treez, I do know how to play nice. LOL

Ol Dog, that's the nicest .22 I've seen in a while. Not really big on them, but I do also like the Ruger .22 and Whalter P22

I once talked to an off duty officer. After telling him the area I live in and asking what was best for home protection he recommended a 12G with 06 buck.

Don't matter what neighborhood, shotgun is always the easiest to hit your target. Especially is you're waking up out of a sleep and shooting.

Personally, I'd still rather unload my 100 round drum lol It states more of a message IMO.

Yea, those ar drums started selling like hot cakes when Sandy Hook was shot up because of the fear of banning the high capacity mags. I don't like them because of the problems I hear they have. I want my mags to perform if needed, not just look cool. And IMO that's all those drums do is look cool.

For a woman I would recommend the SR9c. It's smaller than the SR9 but shoots the same round, same capacity, just in a smaller more compact size. One of the best guns I've ever owned. Accurate, reliable and with the right ammo is extremely lethal.

I also have a Beretta .32cal Tomcat that would be excellent for a woman to carry. Could throw it in your pocket or a purse and be good to go. Very small, easily carried... My only gripe with it is being only a .32 cal it don't have the knock down power of the larger calibers but again, with the right round loaded in it, someone's going to have a bad day if they try any funny shit with you lol....
