Does anyone know anyone who breeds some of the old heinzl blood? Theres a guy that breeds 70- 90 pound giants that is claiming they are heinzl. I would like to find some real heinzl blood.

  4. Hey BKNLS nice looking bitch there! I was with the man that got the dogs from Howard and bred my Eli bitch to the grandsire of you bitch and I'll tell ya there were NO big dogs on that yard at all. Reco is an old dog and he was under 50 lbs. easy.

The male I got out of the 50/50 litter is a big dog in my eyes and he's around 47 lbs. All the rest were females and the biggest of them is around 46 lbs. and she's a real tall rangy dog, the rest are around 40 lbs. or less.

We took a look at a couple of our young prospects and in their coming out party they showed to have very good intelligence and ability and having that eli in there I think gave them some punch as well. We are very pleasantly surprised and pleased with what we saw so far.

We now have a new litter inbred 75% eli and 25% heinzl and these pups are extremely active and very small. I don't think they will be over 40 lbs. any of them and they seem to bite harder than the half-and-half's do (at least as little pups lol).

I'll leave ya with a few pics, one of Reco the grandsire to your bitch and a couple of our new litter. And as I said before, our dogs are still very young but so far we are liking what little we saw alot and I think a cross to them Heinzl dogs is definately worth a try.

And this is my boy from this last litter, he's always around me, he's the first to come running up to me, stays by my side all the time warding off the others and he's the last to leave me at night helping me herd his brothers and sisters back to get locked up for the night lol.

This is the hardest biting pup of the litter which surprisingly turned out to be Red! lol

i used to talk to heinzl quite a bit. had a bitch by Gringo. he had his ways and other people have their ways. Don't worry about the breeder. heinzl has been dead for many years. There are no more 'heinzl dogs'....

The only guy who knew how to breed heinzl dogs was heinzl. Did you know he never tested his bitches? he had his share of curs, just like anybody else. i talked to the guy for hours. he wasn't God, but he knew a lot about dogs. Dogs have got to stand on the performances of the last 2 generations, e.g. parents and grandparents. nothing else matters. Champions in the 6th generation or whatever mean nothing, if there is nothing happening close up....
