It's like a surgeon performing surgery on you before he has any knowledge on what he is about to do. You need knowledge before you own an APBT. Sure everyone had to start somewhere, but it doesnt mean you are ready own one. Take some learning or you will regret it.

How do you not what a breaking stick was, then all of a sudden, you know its a felony where you live? A felony to carry a breaking stick? I gotta call bs. And I am also from ny, but not from queens. So you know a breaking stick is a felony but you dont know what it is? I call bs. And I highly doubt its a felony, maybe dogfighting paraphernalia AT MOST. But I still doubt you.

 

carrying a breakstick in any part of ny is not a felony.
there is a shitload of jeep/redboy dogs in queens but that bloodline or any game line isnt good for someone trying to learn. i would go with a rescue first and see if this is the breed for me. baby steps will get you to the top of the mountain one day.

 

Hell we all got to learn from so one. No need to put the man down just think back when u were first learning about the breed and the questions you asked, probably sounded stupid. Give the guy a chance to learn and ask questions. Rage wasup man. Pit4ever you cant be mad at dudes, look at it as tough love. What do know about these bloodlines and characteristics these redboy/jeep dogs bring to the table?? It makes the mind wonder.....if you posted about a breakstick and what it is, one of these dogs arent made for you right now. Yea we all start somewhere, but when you put in the work it'll pay off. Im not tryin to school you but I'm sure none of these ppl here learned everything they knew online. Find a breeder visit some shows and see if this is what you really want. To get a dog like that, you gon need a breakstick or two and God pray that you'll never have to use it, but def learn. The forums help alot and do research before you post. Not only is that a rookie ? about the breaksticks but a waste of time as well. Cant be mad at these dudes, the bulldogs that we love so much is fucked up. And its not becuase of the dogs and folks who put in the work but because of those who are misinformed and uneducated. Do you think someone will just offer you a dog?

 

What's good Pitbull Kid? I missed the breakstick part, must have over looked it. Anyways these hounds are not for everyone and Jeep/Redboy hounds are very active dogs as for a breakstick you better know how to use if u plan on owning bulldogs. But there is so much watered down Jeep/Redboy dogs out there it is a shame, the key is finding it from a good honest source. As for u Pitbull kid you lucked out hooking up with PurePit and Myself. LOL But you are a good example of what a new bulldog owner should be like willing to LISTEN, let me know when you coming down this way again so we can hook up and how's the pup?

I can second that its tough finding a healthy bulldog from someone whos into improving this breed. I think there is a big show coming up in the N.E? Hopefully, this should be an ideal time to meet dogs and learn from the experienced folks.

 

pit4ever you might need to learn more about the breed no good breeder would sale you a dog or pup as you dont know jack shit about the breed

When I first got into the dogs I knew a guy runnin some jeep/rb, they were hyper as hell and I was still living with my folks at the time and wanted one of them. This guy was smart he convinced me to get something different for my first.he hooked me up with a guy runnin some ofrn blood ,they were still amazing athletes that loved to work although they lacked good wind and mouth, I'm sure there's some that don't. But they were great dogs to learn with and I'm glad I got them before my others, I would suggest u get something that u can handle first

 

go adopt a bully and see if you can even deal with them first, go adopt one thats about 9 that way it will die in a few years and you wont have to wait to long for your next addition.

then id go adopt a byb APBT, that wasnt bred to work. see if you can deal with IT, if thats not a problem, wait till it dies and go get yourself a well bred bulldog.

take baby steps bro, the dogs aint goin anywhere and you got your whole life!

ive seen it a shitload of times where folks think this is something they want then they spend the money and get it just to send it to the pound 6 months later.
