I've got a three month old pit and he's not interested in pulling rope, chasing balls ect. I spend a lot of time with him trying to get him to play but he's just not interested. Any ideas/tips?

I made a flirt pole out of pvc pipe and a regular rope with a fake rabbit tied to it. I started him early on and now hes addicted. Good exercise.

  5. Their are two types of guys, those that like to play "ball" (football, basketball, baseball, etc) then their the guys that have no interest in the ball sports but do things like martial arts, play chess, gamers, etc Well dogs are the same way, dogs that like to play "ball" and those that dont. From what you wrote, your dog happens to fall in the second category. He's more of a Cerebral dog or simply put a "thinking dog" you can continue to expose him to as many ropes, tugs, balls and such also let him see other dogs playing might stimulate him. Giving him time to grow up and mature would also make a difference. You're probably wondering why he's like that being a pitbull you expect him to be balls out to play, what he's lacking is called "prey" drive. Doesn't mean he's messed up in the head but he's simply not interested in chasing things. Hope this answers your question.

My 18 m male sbt always loved his flirt pole but would.let go with little resistance. he was not that into gripping rope toys until about 2-3 months ago. Now he's pretty hardcore and goes on helicopter spins.
