Genes are not from the first generation. Look in the ped.

The red boy jocko bolio side constantly throws 55 and up size dogs some smaller but not regularly also yes the haystack side does throw smaller dogs however in regards to my initial post I mentioned the pups are very small usually the pups thrown from the haystack dog are very burly and large to birth and the same is true with the red boy jock bolio bitch very large pups however these pups are small and seem to be very tiny weird?
As for key stone I'm not quite sure I know what u mean? Please elaborate

This should read genes are not from the first generation only. Look at all dogs in peds. Even then there's no way of knowing how big the pups will grow to be.

I never said I wanted to know how big the pups would grow to be I'm saying these pups from these dogs that throw bog pups are smaller then any they have ever thrown

I am sure many have experienced this before, its just that most breeders dont really care how big or small the pups are at birth just as long as they are fine and healthy. Regardless of how big or small the parents are of said pups the size of the pups at birth could be due to many many factors. Sometimes a smaller litter can result in bigger pups more so then a larger litter. With that said the size of the pups at birth have no real out come on the size of the pups when they are full grown adults.

I don't think its that unusual. Genes are funny things. I bred a 45lb male to a out of the same size parents to a 40lb bitch and got 2 30lb bitches. The bitches mother was a 32lb bitch. When bred that 32lb bitch to the same male got all bitches over 36lb. So no real pattern. What you can take from this is that when it comes to size anything can happen.

Had a single huge healthy pup born 2 weeks ago off of my last breeding. That's right, 1 pup. This is this bitches 2nd breeding, and to the same male. Last litter was 6 pups. Nature does some weird things my friend. I have to admit, I was a nervous wreck until 4 hrs had passed and she was doing fine, with no signs of distressed. Well, I hope this 1 proves. Good luck with your pups.
