Is ratting legal in any US state?

no soze i dont know the poem.

 

I just had some friends in the dogs in the midlands,thats all soze.

 

Its a old poem mate...1860s or 80s I think...

 

The bull terrier was bred down from a well known Welshmans stock and the staff was kc stuff just bred by lads who preferred field work. The first cross was way to hot to work safely around other dogs but calmed down with more terrier blood. And I think you had coloured terriers black terriers and then white. The kc just stuck names on them to give more terrier classes. And yes mate the cork dogs have the old bull bitch and red hand crossed back in the 60’s so I’ve been told I wasn’t born then so I just look at the job I need doing and then 2 generations back. Since I don’t think most men this side off the pond cared to much about pedigree for terriers.

 

Forgot to add that he did start off with white terriers but he added staff from a pet home that had never worked just had a nice Irish pedigree. Also beagle because he liked the coat pattern this was also unworked. It’s the breeders who used his stock that really made them what they are. So much so they were going to change the name until they realised the name helped them sell.

I bet)he says the staff he added was known as the "Hacket White"...owned by a man called Jem Hacket in the Midlands..and was the gamest dog hes ever seen.(lol)

I did not no they tried changing the name..and I understand its the breeders after him that have made it work...
hes still a legend in my eyes.he still created his own breed of terrier...
but im well awere theres better terriers as a hole package. That will rat with the best,but face a fox in the blackness of a eart.and perhaps bush to..
but to run a pack at rat-they must take some beating..

No idea. Just know its a patt. Came across the picture on a ratting group on FB.

 

I only have Bulldogs. I'd love a Patt or a Jadg someday but for now I just keep APBTs.

Ratting with dogs should never be banned-and its probably the last form of hunting that will get band eventually.
but no matter what age or land we live in rats are,and always will be a problem.
Long live the rat hunters and there dogs!

 

Rats put in metal containers with the bottom open to the victims stomach then the container was heated with flame until the rat decides to dig his way out. Ancient way off torture made popular by old China..

 

THIS. Ratting and IMO even rat-pitting ought to be 100% legal everywhere rats are invasive.
