I dont know too much about the Gould dogs. Just learnin the ropes myself.
However i have been told some good things about Gould dogs.

Just curious as to if your pup is a broken coat, or smooth? Ive heard there is alot of broken coats with Gould dogs.

There is a TON of patterdale pedigrees on this site: http://deadgamepatterdales.com/
Might be able to find some information.

Hi, we have a fourteen year old Patterdale bitch. I have had her since she was 5 weeks old. I have never earthed her but she has killed so many rats and nests it is unreal ( we use to live in a rural area in the UK) Actually anything that is furry and small, well not even small she will go for anything even at the age she is now. If you don't put them to earth then they will stay a family pet but once they get the taste for the hunt you have a hunter. We can not do the normal thing and take our dog to the beach with other dogs as she will go after anything. Realising that they are not just a pet but a hunter is the first step in understanding your choice in dog. I have 4 children and Coco has been the best dog ever with them. We did renos on our house and she would sleep under the push chair outside and protect the baby from anyone that approached the pram or house. It is very sad when people abuse the nature of these dogs. They need to be exercised a lot and loved a lot as they are so affectionate and respond to responsibility and praise. Try not to razz them too much as any agro just makes them too sharp. What you give you will get with this breed. We love our girl and would not swap her for the world. She does not shed much either. Hope you enjoy your new guy.

My dogs are mainly Nuttall, but some of them have ancestors in the past, who were bred by Ken Gould.
My dogs with the Gould blood are a little more hyper, a little more dog aggressive and a little more will to please than my pure Nuttall dogs.
