Do as you like, I've been using it for a few years without any problems. I get it from a licensed individual who is experienced with the product. My dogs are in more danger in the woods hunting hogs than from using fipronyl as a flea and tick repellant.

    Straight from the label:
    Fipronil 9.1%
    Inert ingredients 90.9%

Forgot to mention...my vet uses it on his dogs as well.

I saw some for sale online, do you have to dilute it when you buy it?

If it's Termidor SC 9.1% fipronil you can use it straight from the bottle.

I just started using this (K9 Advantix) and some kind of interceptor pill. I haven't even seen a fly on my dogs. I've also just recently found out some people use cattle ear tags placed on the dogs collars. I know they only need changed every 3-4 months.

oooooook huh??? cattle eartags.... arent they just a number they use to identify cattle...... whoa.. city dweller i had no idea they had insecticide in it now i know i aint never eating beef , didnt like it anyway

wow lucky me after spending a fortune on frontline , i have the stuff in my garage cuz i bought it for the control of ants ,, well now , i had the refill too makes 12 gallons from the refill bottle .... wont be havin fleas for a long long long time .. didnt work on ants tho... they are everywhere and getting new queens too... becuz i grow herbs for medicine cant use it where that is ,, so any info on treating the yard with completely safe stuff.. these ants are a pain in the bumm ... usually , if you get a pest and your yard is in order the preditor will follow.. if we get inchworms the coocoobirds follow.. aphids and lady bugs follow now , i had wood peckers but they left when the bigger egrets got here,, egrets live on the fish in the pond but the woodpeckers left all the ants.. theres one for you all to think over...

frontline plus works for my dogs

  18. Re: ~ Keeping Those Fleas Away ~

maybe so but they have had sucess in local spca and pound with it also did you read all the stuff on frontline carefully thats not bottled water either it kills tons of insects other than fleas .. and in some states only licensed officials can handle the stuff.. natural ways are good but im still looking for the best answer to all.. my friends swear by orange oil soap but i havent tried it im still looking for the best answer to this flea dilema ....

Hi all, I'm new to this board.
I've got a small Pit Bull kennel in Southern Michigan. Its been a bad year for fleas according to everyone I’ve talked to. Not sure if your dogs got fleas but I thought I'd let you in on something I'm using.

Here is the link to what I buy:
    http://www.epestsupply.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?preadd=action&key=BAYERPREMISE
It is $69 for a 240 ml bottle. Since you use only 1 ml per dog the cost per treatment is 29 cents!

This is the EXACT chemical (Imidicloprid) in the dog flea treatment Advantage and is made by the same company Bayer. Just take a syringe (without needle) and apply 1 ml between the shoulder blades. I haven't seen 1 flea on my dogs since I started using this over a year and a half ago.
