~ Keeping Weight On Pups ~

    when the halal butcher removes the fat meat they save the fat for me. i also use raw chicken skin. these two things put nice weight on your pup. i think the fat is good for proper brain development. i like add turkey and cow necks for the bone development.
     
  3. For pups that where still nursing I use to give a mixture of meyenberg goat milk, karo syrup, plain yogurt and raw egg. When the dame started to wean the pups I feed them a raw puppy gruel. For the dame I would feed her satin balls to help with putting weight back on her.

    We keep feed in the bowl at all times basically free feeding the pups and keep an eye on the ones that are getting bullied out the feed bowl we feed them separate after the mother is away from pups but when the dam is on pups we use a milk replacer we just mix it with water and her food so she can keep her milk production up and.

    Member a old bitch i had in the 80's,she used to regurgeatate meat for her pup's,,used to amaze us watching her do this.....feed pups the best ya can get then feed them,feed them and then,,,,,feed them some more...if ya look after them for there first few month's like that,ya never have much probs with them...........
     
  7. There's a high-calorie supplement I've used with great success before.....its called "DYNE". Do a search for it.

    Ive had good success with clovite from the feed store keeps them nice and plump.

    How old is the puppies if their off the dam I recommend chicken fat a few times a week
