This woman has no business putting her damn face near the dogs face. This happened yesterday, i know people are going to be calling this a pitbull just watch.you know how the media is.

Well damn. Looked to me like the dog was nervous to begin with, and someone should have picked up on his signs like, the panting, licking his lips, and general look he had. I feel sorry for the reporter and the dog.

You are exactly right. The first news feed called it a dogo. As soon as it bit the anchor it became a PitBull mix.lol. The owner should be ticketed and punished. Leave the dog alone.

  4. The woman should have NEVER had her face so close to a strange dog. EVER!!! I even know better than that and I'm young (22 years old). The dog was nervous, panting, eye movement, etc. Why idiot lady? People should really know how to read dogs and know the number one rule: Don't get on the same level as a strange dog, you are bound to get bitten." She should have just stuck to the head patting, but even then......she was getting closer and closer to the dog. Poor dog, poor lady. They will both be alright hopefully.

The reporter definitely wasnt smart putting her face so close to the dogs face, but she probably just didnt know better. I blame the dummies that brought the dog to the set, for not picking up on the dogs body language. It was pretty damn obvious to me on the video, so you know the handlers had to be able to tell things were not cool with the dog. I just hope the dog didnt get put down, because it wasnt the dogs fault.
On the bright side, at least the reporter only got a "warning" bite, and not the "I'm going to latch onto your face" bite.

  6. Don't be so sure the "handlers" (and I use that term loosely) saw the signs. There's so many idiot dog owners out there it's not even funny. They couldn't interpret a dogs body language if their lives depended on it. :(

    This clip is everywhere,

Anyone can see the dog is stressed, poor animal. The woman should have known better.
And why is that, when a dog bites it suddenly becomes a pit bull type? We have the same problem here in the uk, any dog resembling a stafford gets into a fight or bites some one it is automatically classed as a staffy cross or pit bull type. They never report the other attacks on kids like the black labrador that attacked a 9 yearold boy on the 15th of Dec 2011 causing 40 stiches worth of damage to his face. Sorry for rambling on it just pisses me off.

Yeah, I wasnt really sure what to call the people that brought the dog to the set. I guess they were trying to find a home for the dog??? Looks like one of the guys is wearing a badge or cheap ass patch, so maybe county officials. Heres something else thats a bit off. Dogo's arent Mastiff's lol.

"In the 1928, Antonio Nores Martinez. a medical doctor, professor and surgeon, set out to breed a big game hunting dog that was also capable of being a loyal pet and guard dog. Antonio Martinez picked the Cordoba Fighting Dog to be the base for the breed.[19] This breed is extinct today but was described as a large and ferocious dog that was a great hunter. He crossed it with the Great Dane, Boxer, Spanish Mastiff, Old English Bulldog, Bull Terrier, Great Pyrenees, Pointer, Irish Wolfhound and Dogue de Bordeaux.[20] Nores Martinez continued to develop the breed via selective breeding to introduce the desired traits. Dr. Raul Zeballos introduced the Dogo Argentino to the United States in 1970."

    Hold the dummies accountable!

Like lonewolf says, as soon as it bit the lady it went from a dogo to a pitbull mix lol, after all they will say down the dogs blood line there was fighting dog of cordoba bred in there... LOL , the media is ridiculous and never does any good for the breed even if they sometimes act like they are do not trust them.

  11. I'm from Denver CO where this happened. That lady was Kyle Dyer from 9 news(que ironic humor about her "Dyer" situation) the dog fell in a frozen pond the previous day and was rescued just in time. I was watching as this happened. I could tell the dog was nervous from the entire ordeal that morning and the day before. Ms. Dyer is used to having calm, un-traumatised animals on the show. Leaning in and kissing them is her thing. However if you look you will notice the dog sneered about 7 seconds before it bit. Thats enough time to move your head back. Bad form.

  12. the woman did not do what the kids do around every dog this is why the dogs are banned in some nations owners allowing their dog to be free like a person...not thing wrong with people dangerous dog just muzzle him around strangers GSD, rotts, dobermann, mastiff have been bred to watch...
