Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. If you spend all your time worried about others opinions it's less time to enjoy your dog. Beauty is only skin deep. It's heart will determine what he is, not his looks.
  3. Then he's beautiful, he loves kids and people, but kids mostly, he very intelligent, but he wants to kill all other dogs besides the ones he lives with and he does his best to protect them

Personally, I think your dog looks fine...BUT
Anyone who would say that, is obviously:
    a. A complete rookie or doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground
    b. A know-it-all or just trying to get you to do something stupid
    c. Jealous
    d. Drunk
You shouldn't listen to that or even waste time with a response...walk away
  5. The person was an owner of a lab mix
  6. They let their mutt attack him and he sat there until I gave him a command to defend himself, long story short the boys dog left with a broken paw with I made a splint for and carried his dog to his home

I'd rather have people think my dogs are mutts mush easier that way

  10. He really not a violent dog and he has a strong bite the main time he ever actually attempts to kill another dog is when either children or I am being attacked. Plus the dog couldn't get a grip and I trained him to not to start fights but to finish them

Sounds like a smart dog, being , able to be taught that difference.. Exactly how many times have you or children been attacked

  12. Not many mostly small dogs run up to us and bark, I taught him to ignore it. I would say a major incident like this only happened twice once with my neighbor's Shepard mix female that ran up and attacked him and he and my other two dogs chased her away. I just don't like him to fight back because if he really hurts the dog he will get the blame because of the stigma of him having pit blood within him

I dunno man, i have my male pretty well trained and he still ain't having no shit from other dogs, if they even act a little funny he ain't having it.. My bitch is more passive but if a dog acts like it wants to start shit, she get's pretty shitty.. She isn't trained like that though but my male is, smart as hell, like extremely intelligent but he has turned on in the last week or so, so i doubt i can stop him from it now..

At the end of the day though, it's like AGK said, it don't matter and opinions are like assholes! Just enjoy the dog ;)

I have very intelligent dogs but I have yet to own one that is going to listen to anything I say or do once they see another animal. They become horses with blinds on, one tract minds. Lol never even heard of such things, I'm not saying it's not possible, hell, a broken clock is still right twice a day, just sounds wierd to me. Lol.

It can't be any other way a long time ago I seen a tape of two dogs being hunted and I asked the breeder which dogs of his were they and he replied the ones laying on the couch together these dogs were out of GR CH Micky who quit over seas to a Bobby Hall bred dog and latter on both of them dogs quit them selfs. I like dogs that will scratch to a mirror also those two dogs that quit had some of the highest ability at that time that I had ever seen.
  16. The funny thing is he is extremely DA when he gets started to the point were he is almost impossible to control, but unless the dog is close to him or he knows he can grab and wreck it he won't try. The only time he's ever showed his ability to fight is when my neighbor's dog got into our fence and challenged him, he almost killed the dog and the dog weighs 88 pounds and is a coon hound mix but is unmetered

Just love and care for the dog... all this kill and defend shit makes me think you may not be fit for this breed. Don't take this personally but your stories have me scratching my head and seem to be embellished. Please do yourself and all bulldog owners a favour and keep your dog confined and away from other dogs. The fact that your dog has been in so many altercations shows me that you are a irresponsible owner. Your are feeding the fire and are partially the reason why there is BSL.

Your dog looks like more of a american staffordshire to me not a game bred american pit bulldog. But there is nothing wrong with that what so ever. It will be a great dog for you life style and it looks like a healthy good looking well put together dog. Take good care of him and I wish you and your dog the best.

Dog looks great. Ignore the bullshit with other dogs. You know who they will point the finger at for having any type of bull breed if your dog gets into trouble.

Please just remember this advice from 1925 still true to this day, it's the only real way for a man to separate dogs ;)
