I have a Taped interview i got from a dogman years ago. its a phone conversation between Maurice carver and Don mayfield discusing that they"" KNOW"" ""Indian Sunny"" hase Pit general..
Indian sunny when confronted bij phone left the scene for 3to 4 years.
It was said that if Sunny would have come to that part of the country where general was stolen he would not have left that area

afther moving away from his place and spreading his dogs over varius yards and being away for 3 to 4 years Indian sunny came back with a al black yard of dogs with ocasional brindles.

while the bolio corvino dogs he used to have where defendsife game dogs. now he had ofendsife black dogs.
any body who knew ore know the GRCH Midnight blood and who saw the good ones can see that they dig in there stile as if there is NO TOMORROW.Know that aint bolio corvino blood showing.
we therfore truly belive that the midnight blood is of General desendense. hense we bred to it with our Alligator based famely...

as for the Eli Zebo Alligator ecetera blood lines read the pelican Brief i put out 12 years ago. I belive its pretty close to wat could have happend in those days. hens the rezen why al these black bloodlines click so wel and ore have the same ofendsife stile ...I also read and used to have interview with the man who owend grch ART he WAS stolen. He was used up and rolled and of the cahin matchst to a point where he waswasted and used up and died.. . the man responseble for stealing him in the end would never walk again!!!! without the use of his legs....

I got no beef with Limey's style of writing...understood it pretty well myself personally, and appreciate the good stuff as always. That's the thing with these great dogs who were stolen and never seen again...you gotta wonder what the hell they actually ended up producing and who for. Interesting shit to speculate on, that's for damn sure...and good to hear that the man who stole (or orchestrated the theft of) Art lost his legs. For every action there is a reaction, and if you go fuckin' with the wrong one that reaction sure as hell may end up trumping the action. Thanks Limey, good shit man.

Im sorry i was up eurly and had a late night!. my spelling is , as most of you know bad,
but this time it was real bad.. The man who took Art from his owner was Knee capt!!.
also on the same tape that i have ""they"" Don Mayfield and marice carver talkt about that General was spotted at ronald fontenau,s yard as wel. aparendly they moved him around in between a couple of yards. Indian Sunny didnt DIRECLY stole General , but had him stolen.......

Nobody cares about the spelling the information Limey puts out is very good and thats what counts in my book.Yeah Indian Sonny moved to Ca. for awhile and stayed away till after Carver was gone per say.Indian Sonny I met down Ken's of A-Team and he was very shady.My mentor told me to stay clear of him.

 

Look asshat Limey has stated many times he has dyslexia if you do not want to try to read it don't but i really do not have a problem reading it myself but all im going to say is he has a lot of information to pass on so if i were you i would atleast try to read it and keep my mouth shut about how he types he shouldn't have to apologize for his dyslexia

It doesn't matter if Limey has peeps or not there are some things u just don't do. Its called respect.Limey has put a lot of good information out there.Food for thought.You can learn from what he has posted or not.If you don't like it read another post because many would like to read what Limey has to say.I hope Limey keeps posting.

 

I still have a hard time believing hearsay, I have spoken with almost every old timer alive and dead who were all around at the time that this story was fabricated and have never heard the same story on the subject. We can all speculate what may or may have happened based on hearsay but the truth will never be known.

The one bit of information that remains the same regardless of which old timer I interviewed is this... " At the height of the dog game no man was to be trusted ."

Those who lived the fastlane were all shady and no matter when or where they found god they were all backstabbing theives who would have done anything for the reputation that came with the win.

I don't want to get into the rubbing and doping and poisonings that were COMMON PLACE in those days but I will say this, Nicotine Sulphate causes cancer and alot of the all time greats died a bit young,,, didn't they?

You all can beleive what you like, bottom line is we will never know the whole story and im sure it lies somewhere in the middle of what everyone thinks.

NGK you are correct we will never know the truth.But it is nice to speculate.It is funny as time passes the stories change, or some new information comes out from someone that wasn't even there when the event happen.They all had dirt under their nails switching papers ,rubbing,and a number of other things to win a match.Earl Tudor who is considered the greatest of his time admitted to stealing dogs that people sent him.Carver and many other breeders switched papers and hung papers on so many different dogs that guys will never know what blood they really had.The poisons that they used to rub their dogs with just to win a match, not even a thought at what it did to their own dogs.I met some of the so called greats and some I really enjoyed talking with, and some where pieces of crap.Some didn't even take care of their dogs and could care less about the dogs.NOT VERY HONORABLE MEN. That is why I never really looked up to any.Honor among thieves so to speak.Well not in the dog game.

 

I obviously dont know anything about all this, but doesnt Bullyson dogs also throw black dogs like Midnight?

If you have been in the fast lane for almost25/30 years living with dogs knowing lots of people and traveling around dealing with crooks and hounest people. you tend to divelop and get a sirtin feeling over that period of time to be able to pin point ore puzzle stuf up. to KNOW

I dont call a ACTUAL conversation on tape that i hve in my posesion that lasts 45 min on the subject of Pit Genearl between The silver Fox Maurice Carver and Don Mayfield in his GOOD DAYS. not to longs afther Pit Genearl was stolen Hearsay!!! and ore speculation.

Like a good inspector you can puzzel stuf together to get STRONG sircumstansional evidense. enoughf to KNOW that it is the truth, but like in a murder case not enoughf for a conviction...

sunny sykes studend of the late Joe Corvino stayd at my friend and kennel pardners house for 3 months. we know that the corvino dogs where game plug sand lookt very cumsy to the 80,s and today s standards.
The bolio corvino dogs that sunny had wherend anywhere CLOSE to what the Midnight dog(s) showed.

i myself was sole responsible back then for the introdusing of these dogs at Borderline kennels overhere and in europe, who whanted another bloodline!.
dogs like Little man, white foot, missy ecetera came overhere
. later my frind Detleff got heavy into them as wel. Both man imported dogs direckly from J rods and staied at his place.. belive me i have seen my share of Midnight dogs and the way they are.
to know they where NOT bolio corvino dogs bred to a Holds jerimia son called Indian Pistol that never was!!... im sure hes was but not out of Holds Jeremia!!!.

altho i do have problems with Don Mayfields asumtions in later life, he did have his momends of clarety!!.
he predicted the cross we made with our aligator famely x grch Midnigh blood as the hardest cross in the game (witch he didnt mention to me but to another man).
with the ecseption of your od one ore two those dogs from that litter where every bit as what he said!!!!.
some of them could bite tru bricks others not so, but had a viger in them that had to be belived to see it. they ALL had this devestationg frond end stile and with that short muzzle most of them had, they could and would bore in in a way that was ecseptional. and some where crawling game dogs.. from what i heard!!!.

I hesitated for a long time as i feld that they feld short when they got tired afther there initional display of overwelming onslought they could diliver, they seemed to faied out in the sense that they could not uphold that strebght. i waighted till some ecsptional eczamples came across, in meeting them to make the disision to cross out with them.
if you compeard the looks of Pit General to some of those eurly midnight dogs there rezamblings where amayzing to say the least.

Little things. like how mayfield was able to draw his dogs and pit general so fine that they lookt like a bag of bones. but people soon found out they where the strongest bag of bones around.

some of our close Nelis dogs lookt aczackly te same as some midnight dogs we had in the likes of the jenny bitch we got from Dethleff.. to many coinsedenses to be to far off on this one. but thats just my belive and opinion. al i can say is if im full of shit then so are our dogs. history however hase shown they where and are umongst the beter ones out there. there are more detailed detailes that i have that kinda made me disied to make that cross. witchs to me in the end hase a foundation in the likes of NIgger Alligator pit general with other super dogs of that eara inbetween..

 

Limey, here is one almost 30 years old picture of them dogs you are speeking about. You are clearly see the characteristic short muzzle.
