    September 8th & 9th 2012

Attn Michigan!! September 8th & 9th 2012 there will be 4 Conformation Shows and 2 Treadmill races at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Belleville, MI.... IF folks want a Weight Pull, they MUST pre-register through the AADR by August 1st. To do so, please e-mail aadroffice@atmc.net and let them know how many dogs you need to pre-register. Include a contact phone number in your e-mail.
On behalf of the AADR, thank you Ron Carter and your MI crew for making this show happen!

Can an ADBA dog be shown at these events? I'd like to know more. Are these dogs based of TG's dogs that make up the registry? Do not know a lot about them>

  3. Mccoy, ADBA dogs can be registered with the AADR the morning of the show UNLESS things have changed over the last year. Just take your ADBA papers and fill out a registration form that morning. They used to even give a discount for registering at the show too.

Maybe somebody will chime in to verify this. I haven't been to an AADR show yet this year. I think their contact number is listed on their website also.

I've never even needed ADBA papers. It was like $15 to register and all you needed to do was fill out a pedigree.

Last I knew papers are NOW required, the change was made under new the ownership in an effort to make the registry more reputable. Registration was available the day of the show with a discount but Andrea was present at those shows so I don't know if it applies when she's not there ( if she's not coming ).

I will just go check out the site! Thanks for the info yall.
I'd bring papers just incase. They having a pull at this one?

    **ATTENTION** Show location change

The Belleville show being held Sept. 8-9th, 2012 is being changed to Chelsea Fairgrounds in Chelsea, MI.

20501 Old US-12 Hwy (Old US12 at Old Manchester Road), Chelsea, Michigan 48118

If you are wanting a weight pull, please pre-register the number of dogs you are planning on pulling through the AADR by August 1st: aadroffice@atmc.net

There will only be a weight pull if there are enough dogs that it's worth Ron to bring the track and weights. So far we have 4 dogs registered and I'm registering mine as soon as I'm done with this post.

    Chelsea, MI.
Been awhile since I have been there. Most APBT in the state stayed away from there because the setup and bust with Mary Hammonds, Joe D-Daily, Tony Roper, Chuck Wolski, etc.

Years ago it wasn't bulldog friendly place. I hope times have changed.

I'm not sure why it moved, but it's a tad closer to me which is fine. I've never been to Chelsea.

If I remember right, I think they were trying to or did pass or wanted to pass a BSL.
Ya that bust in 1981 was big news in the state.
It made the cover of both the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News.
It was set up at the Great Lakes ADBA Club show.
The house was a bait house for the show the USHS provided the spot.
They had cameras, the whole nine yards.

i.m. couldnt that be considered entrapment? while it isnt a "crime" anymore it was still one then

You would think so but in the Belleville bust at Glen Wilcox (who last owned Gr. Ch. Queen of Hearts) in 1977 the animal control rolled dogs there before.
Now I know that is hard to believe but they did and the court didn't feel that was entrapment.
    Bait cars aren't entrapment.
