Dogo x lurchers must be fairly difficult to come by.would you know how the rest of the litter turned out.A cross ive always had an intrest in -maybe more than an intrest if these rumours of feral boar in ireland turn out to be true

Tyke, thanks for sharing three of the four pics. That last one is 100% illegal where I 'm from not sure where it is legal. Maybe its legal where you are? That's the kinda freebee pic the antis gather all day long.like I say maybe its legal where you are? Post those kind of pics and watch a new bsl pop up with no help fighting it from the deer hunting alliances or other sportsman alliances who fall in line with the deer hunters. Im not so nieve to think it doesn't happen, but to post pics of that sort of hunting can only hurt us all.

that pic is not illegal the deer was shot and the dog used to track it,rather that than leave the animal there to suffer i maybe should have put captions up.I was reading a magazine from the britsh isles the other day with a similiar pic the only difference was the time of day.

Its not illegal to run deer with dogs in FL and some other parts of the US. However it is illegal in most northern states.

I have a couple questions for those of you familiar with Bull x Sighthound cross lurchers.
Do you prefer using a male or female bulldog?
How dog agressive are they on average?
    How trainable are they?
I think it is an interesting cross but am concerned that if a gamebred bulldog was used the dog would be less controllable and perhaps too dog aggressive to be a good working lurcher.

Hi there i have had the privelidge of owning and working these crosses male female with varying degrees of bull in the mix.I heard allsorts about them being aggressive and not for a beginner but i have to say in the greyhound you have a chilled out type and with the bull you have an animal with extreme drive who wants to please there owner no bull or bull lurcher would be bred from if it was dog or human aggressive thats not to say that they are not out there but there is good and bad in all crosses as we know.My dog has never shown any aggression towards other dogs even when provoked. These dogs do well on large quarry and as long as they are given the work they require are no problem in the kennel.male or female makes no differnce really but the cross i prefer is the 1/4 bull 3/4 grey as they run well on all types of quarry thats not to say other crosses arent as good my dog is actually a 3/4 bred to a 3/8 5/8,my dog has been easy to train and all the other dogs i have seen have all been the same . hope this answers some of youre questions if youre thinking about a bullx go on get one im sure you wont regret it

Not sure the laws where you are at. But here in FL it is illegal to shine. It is a HUGE fine and the Warden can impound your vechile and arrest you.

My BF's nephew was caught with friends. Thank God he was underage.

my old retired mailman was a fella i coyote hunted with years ago, and he always kept retired greyhounds. at the time i had a real serious dog that we would take out sometimes and he would ride along in the cab with us most of the time, but on occasion we'd corner a coyote, and after the hounds were in their boxes he'd get to come out and play. well this old guy was real anti-pit bull at first , but soon learned to appreciate my dog for what he was.

ANYWAY, he had a real nice bitch come in heat and asked if id consider letting him use my male to see what it would produce. i was young and honestly was curious myself, so i let him take him home. he got 3 pups, 50/50 cross, 2 males, one female and they were everything he hoped they would be. they hunted well in a team, but one male was far more DA with new dogs. just wasnt possible to introduce him to new dogs. the other 2 were no more aggressive than his hounds. i wish my scanner on my comp worked, i have some pics, and they were fine looking animals. all three brindle like the dam, Rufus was buckskin. lean builds, long bodies similar to a greyhound, but not quite as tall or as fine boned. the males had what i guess i would call a feminine APBT head, and the female looked pretty much like a greyhounds. they sure could do it all when it came to hunting tho. run like the wind and had lots of bite. definitely something i'll do again someday, but my hunting buddy and his dogs are long gone. good ol Terry M

great post, its my dream to produce my own first crosses one day i really think that bred right with quality dam and sire they would have the potential to be awsome, and could be further crossed to produce 3/4 breds, lee if you dont mind me asking what height did the pups make? You say its a cross you would do again what would be the breeding of the pit you chose? currently where im situated good game blood is an issue im fortunate though that im able to still get hold of more dogs from the same family.Hope you get youre scanner sorted lee would like to see the pics, thanks matt
