not as much as i expected, but it seemed that the pups took after the greyhounds structure, not near as broad as Rufus was and all were taller than him. they were all real lanky, but the female actually ended up being the taller and swifter of the three. they werent exactly identical by any means, but they all looked more sighthound than APBT.

after Terry passed away, his family were on his stuff like white on rice. dogs, guns, all of it. his oldest boy who lives in Indiana ended up with the dogs(maybe 15 of em), so the experiment was unfortunately over. always been curious what happend to em. Ike Spike and Dyke lol

you use to be able to get retired race dogs thru the DesMoines paper all the time. having the dog track in Omaha, it was real common, and a retired racer was usually only 3-4 years old

i cant really tell you exactly how tall they were, its been 15 years since we tried the cross, Dyke was nearly as tall as her mama a purebred ex racer if that tells ya anything, but both males were several inches shorter at the withers. i wish i had better details, but that really wasnt anything i thought about back then. lol ...i was in my early 20s and if they hunted well, thats all i cared about. if i was gonna do it again ...hows the saying go? "dance with the girl ya brought"...i got a nice male APBT now that is a good kill dog and id probably use him to start out with the same 50/50 cross, but i dont hunt now like i did back then, and when i do go we just mainly call em in and use em for target practice.

I have deer hunted with dogs ,black and tans,blue ticks,red bones,walkers and prob a few more that i cant think of..I have never saw them catch a deer but i suppose its possible,,but some will attack the deer after he is down for sure..most of the times when u see the dogs u missed the deer because the deer is always ahead of the dogs..so if u see the dogs usually your too late..we try to set up like a circle and put standers out ,,use the dogs for thicker swampy terrain..someone will release the dogs walk them through the woods till they hit a hot scent then thier gone..idea is they will chase the deer out to one of the standers .

 

Lee I have heard people using grey hounds for coyotes ,never saw it though..sounds like fun!Guys where i live that are farmers are using bandogs,and and american bulldogs not to hunt just to kill them if they get too close to the farm. dogs sleep all day and prowl the farm at night..one of my friends got a bandogs he killed 2 coyotes Monday night guess he couldnt catch the rest.

this is my half x pup with my mates reverse 5/8ths 3/8ths the older bi5ch is nore more than 22/23tts and weighs 48lb but for saying she over half bulldog she can fly and turn on a sixpence and will take toothed game happily the pup is 5 months and weighed about 39lb when this was taken a couple weeks ago she should make 25/26tts


this young greyhound is in his first season but already taking what you put in front of him and loves to work he 19 mnths now

and this bitch is a bull/grey to a saluki/grey she 71/2 mnth now very ggood fast bitch i have high hopes for these 2 pups

 

oh no she is a Seal (blue) color dog she ain't worth a shit cull it . :p just fuckin with ya very nice hounds you have there

nice dogs riffraff never seen a reverse 3/8 5/8 like you say good for things with teeth.bammaman im using a pitbull grey cross roughly 1/4 bul 3/4 grey.

 

dont have many marks on them, but then again rabbits have teeth too

 

trust me mate in the flesh the black n white bitch has but not much as she good at her job the grey has started to but if you judge a dog by how many marks its got your not judging it properly pm me where abouts your at if you want a night out

that sounds interesttin tyke,,,the greyhound crosses are new to me so I am not very familiar with it..tell u truth looking at some of the pics I didnt realize the size of some these dogs.
