Awesome example of a more "terrier"-ish game dog. He has the look of the late 1800s/early 1900s 30 lb-and-smaller box bulldogs. B-)

How is this young male bred? These smallish, high drive power plants have always interested me. Especially if from pure working lines.

interesting that two broad, heavier built dogs throw a wiry and tight 30 pounder.

More interesting that two red nosed bulldogs would produce a black nose bulldog ?

Genetically impossible from what I have always read. Unless, one of their noses is actually liver colored not red. ABK (R.I.P) wrote about this in length on PBC a few years back.

interesting point I don't even think about that however, I haven't received the paperwork yet that's the reason I haven't posted an official ped. Also DNA profile work should be done. "Abundantly blessed Kennels" actually wrote a lot of articles such as the color of gameness, Merle colored Bulldogs ect .. honestly it was a gift I don't buy paperwork never have I don't care if it was brand the backyard to Joe blow, The Dude, what have you. Until he's mature enough to take him through schooling, I'll keep you updated if he makes the grade worthy to be called a Bulldog !

Actually, tbis guy is going to be sending us some pups off some of his upcoming breedings. He said that Lulu , colby bitch is " The Truth" I'm not surprised. As a matter of fact he contacted me right here on game dog looking for a pure Colby bitch from a working line. Im not ignorant to the fact that modern-day Colby dogs are nothing like they used to be 30 years ago. However if you get you a good they certainly won't let you down when it comes to gameness, From a breeding standpoint they're known for freshening up the gene pool , rather than polluting the pool. He was taught as I was, if we start with gameness 1st, everything else can be added. A lot of the old-timers knew this and added Colby, yet didn't show it on the paperwork . At the time my wife and I decided to send Red John after he got Lulu and he told us what his plans were we decided it was the right thing to do. So far I'm not disappointed I'm excited about the future...

P.s .AGK, slim and other real dogman I will actually be sending pups and our prospects to in the near future. My wife and I have grandchildren and it's just not in the cards for me but have more than a few bulldogs. To be able to travel go fishing camping , spend quality time with each other. Spend quality time with our grandchildren. So as I told Pete Colby senior couple years ago starting a yard just isn't for me. Being a husband to my beautiful wife that is for me. I love this world's greatest breed, I had the honor of owning about 80 bulldogs thus far in my life. "God " my wife, and family mean the world to me, and I just want to do the things I haven't done like being a good husband, granddad, be a better Man. "Poison" bulldog fever can take that away if I allow it. "The test of the Bulldog is the show, The test of the family is time"
