new neighbors

  1. ok. we have new neighbors. They have a unspayed 10 month old rott/boxer mix. Well needless to say when i first met them i TOLD them that Rhinna is NOT fond of female dogs and get a tad reactive when on a leash. SO fastward to a few seconds ago...I was coming back with the baby and Rhinna from a walk. Neighhbor sees me as Im at the porch and brings her dog outside...can you guess how Rhinna reacted? Aggressively Obiviously. Their words we cant have that happening...she is usually let out to do her business and play outside...um no fence! HELLO...there are alot of dogs in this neighborhood. Granted their dog did start it. lunged towards Rhinna, so rhinna put herself in front of me(she has a prong collar, so she was easy to control and she listens to commands. I told her to leave it and 'HOUSE'...she did as she was told with a tad bit of grumbling). AGAIN I informed them, "my dog is aggressive towards other dogs when on a leash, please do NOT do that again"

your nieghbors need a good talking to and they should keep there dogs kenneled, leashed, fenced, or on chain or wire or she can be fed to your dog lol jk that would be bad for them and us at least your responsible:D unlike ur nieghbors even if the dog is friendly you should keep it on a leash not just let it out bad things happen if you do that duh:rolleyes:

  3. i did tell her we have a pit across the street that is tied with a chain that wouldnt hold a toy dog.

lol yea there would be an 8ft tall brick wall around her house :D

  5. other than being reactive to other dogs rhinna's great on a leash. She doesnt try to chase cats, perks her ears up at the squirrels, occassionally barks at people(but that is easily corrected)

I would tell your neighbor to keep your dog restrained and if you don't and if it gets close to mine on our walks,or on my yard I am NOT responsible for your hurt or dead dog.I don't care if your dog is EXTREMELY DA or loves other dogs. You shouldn't have to deal with neighbors dogs running up on your dog. If she doesn't want to listen next time I would call the AC and make a report so if/when your dog gets hers you really wont be responsible for your neighbors actions.

What are the leash laws where live? Get them and give them to your neighbors. Tell your neighbors that the next time you see their dog loose, you are going to report them.

I might give AC a call just to let them know the situation. Do the damage control before the damage is done. Do you have a camera? Start taking pictures of their loose dog.

just tell them to put the dog on a leash or else...........

  9. all dogs must be secured when on the property by leash/chain/fence. when off property on a leash no longer than 6ft. Also all unspayed dogs that are in season must be kept secured and are not allowed to remain outside without owner with them.

This sounds like the best thing to do. If your dog does get to their dog they will most likely try to play the vicious pitbull card. So u should get in on record that your neighbors dont retrain their dog.

  12. I think they have gotten the hint as theyve had her on a leash. NOW if they would only walk her away from the front sidewalk to relieve herself...who wants to walk out their front door and see dog crap all over the front sidewalk/yard? I sure dont. Its nasty. I swear if she uses the excuse 'well i have young kids...' im going to flip on her. I have 4 kids, 6,4,2,1 and I manage to walk MY dog all the way down the street to an empty lot to do her business and I clean UP after my dog.

    No fence = Leash.

They don't like it, call animal control.

Also carry something with you and keep her on a handle/doubled short leash if she is aggressive on a leash. If that thing comes within 10 feet of you, have the short line attached to the dead ring, hold her front legs off the ground stand sideways between her and the other dog airballing her so she can't get any leverage to lunge.

And smack that other dog in the fucking head as hard as you can.

If the owners are too irresponsible and dense to keep their dog on a leash, you are well within your rights to protect yourself and your dog.

All you gotta say is, my dog was leashed, the other dog came at us, I feared for myself and my animal, no animal control/police are gonna ask any fucking questions when you have control over your dog and are in fear coz they don't follow basic precautions and exercise common sense and responsibility with their unspayed animal.

    The end.

PS. If you don't wanna crown the other dog, pepper spray is also a good one, guaranteed it thinks twice about coming close to you or your dog again.
