New Staffordshire bull terrier dog - not the same.

For those that are into staffs there is a few in my weight pull club out of Cambridge Staffords out of Texas and they are very athletic dogs with lots of drive. The little bitch below Flirt is a 26lb ball of fire!!!

There's a lady in Florida that competes in weight pulling classes too. She runs staffs to Can't remember her name or kennel.

 

I bred and trained SBT for 40 years, until about 7 years ago when the last one died. Great Dogs, depending on what you want it for. But I personally only know of one Dead Game bloodline left, and even that one is questionable now. But as a pet and companion, none better.

 

The book you speak of by John Gordon, in my opinion is the best book ever written on the SBT. And believe in or not the Bandits bloodline he talks about are still alive and well to this day. I believe they're in Sweden if memory serves.

 

Which bloodline LL ? What lines were yours ??

I don't know why but the Bull Lurchers I've seen had more finish than the APBT on certain critters, maybe it's leverage, maybe it's the extra size, it surprised me though.
