New to Reading Peds

Discussion in 'APBT Bloodlines' started by troubleman60, May 24, 2020.

  1. I apologize beforehand if I come off as uneducated about the breed but that’s why I’m here is to learn. I’m currently talking to a man about purchasing my second dog but this is my first time buying a dog and actually reading and researching the ped. Can anyone explain to my how to read a ped and if this ped = good breeding? http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=669846 From what is very obvious the breeder uses Boudreaux blood heavy.

The question is how far back in a ped do you have to go before the names there don't really mean much.

I suppose each and every dog in a pedigree is as important as the next but surely it's only the recent influence that has a big impact.
