Anyone heard any old wives tales about Labor-inducing home remedies? All I know is sex n' castor oil... LMAO.

I was due originally on Saturday, but they pushed it back to Thursday- I AM READY NOW. Anyone got any ideas?:D

  2. you forgot lots of walking. Also when my wife was pregnant with our first child her amniotic sack burst early (at 34 weeks). The doctor forbid her from drinking Pepsi because of the risk of premature birth. Apparently, something in good old pepsi cola has a similiar effect to Petocin which is used to induce and augment labor.

No caster oil! It's bad for your baby.....Walk,walk ,walk some more. Clean the house again, wash the walls and the floors. Good luck to you and your family!

  5. I agree with this one here....overavtive women (not strenuous) tend to go into labor early.....and castor oil...= bad!

I dunno...I trained horses up until the beginning of my eighth month, walked the track three xs a week until my 36th week...

It's been soooo hot here, but I think we'll suck it up and Slade and I will putter around the block a few xs...:)

  7. You poor thing....you just hang in there.....she will come! When the time is right...
And who knows the Docs may be wrong.....:D...you know it is possible!
Babies tend to not listen to doctors to well, they pretty much do what they feel like doing and WHEN they feel like it...LOL

You will be in my thoughts!

I always heard that if you'll go and push the car around the block you go into labor.

BTW, my mother carried me for 10 months!

I spent one whole afternoon pushing the frig around the kitchen but my youngest, who is 40 now, still picked the time and place of her birth.
    Good luck though!!!
The baby will come when the baby is ready and not one minute sooner without profession help. ;)

I thought they could induce whenever you wanted them to after a certain amount of weeks??? Thats what we just did, but the Doc knows best I suppose. Good luck & hang in there :)

I hear ya, I tried all those home remadies and nothing, he was 2 weeks late and I was so ready but when he did finally decide to come he was really ready. After the first contraction he was here within 1 hr, barely made it to the hospital. Good luck and savor your last few minutes of freedom, LOL.

    Freedom, hell. :D

I got a two year old hollering "mama" right now for a snack, A petunia APBT and a petunia GD begging for a head rub, and 3 parrots squealing for their afternoon feeding. Oh yeah- the hub will be wanting his dinner around 5 as well :p. Never a dull moment- better get that walk in while I can, LOL.

My first child came 3 weeks early after a dinner of Chinese food and a glass of mateuse rose the night before. Woke up wet and in labor.

Second one though was 2 weeks late and had to be induced at the hospital. I for sure did NOT appreciate the extra time waiting in the heat of the summer LOL.

I feel for ya LuvinBullies ;)

Induce labor the same way you conceived.

I've heard marinara sauce (as in spaghetti sauce & the like). That's what they told me & all I know is that when my sis-in-law was about due, we went out to eat Italian and my niece Harmony was born 6 hours after leaving that resataurant.

    Good luck!

I had Cole 2 months early so I have no other ideas.............

i've heard eating very spicy foods is "supposed" to bring on labor, and yeah, keeping busy, busy, busy. My son was 4 weeks early and my daughter 1 week late. petocin helped bring along my son, and good old Ma nature my daughter. so, i guess whenever "the time is right" she'll make her entry...;)
quick and painfree (is there such a thing????????) ....labor LB
